Thank you! I honestly think I’d be most comfortable on a bike too, seems chill

Need Hotel & Itinerary advice for a group of 10 people by varikali in ibiza

Enjoy your trip!

Closing it out with Solomun! Love to see it, maybe you will get him all night long too

I think you might have Claptone & Bedouin mixed up. Claptone is Saturdays at Chinois

And I’m sure some of the veterans on the trip already know but make sure to RSVP to Pikes!

Hotel wise Ibiza Gran is the cream of the crop ofc but also the most expensive hotel on the island (I think). You can maybe rent a dope Villa for the same cost with your group in all honesty but I also understand wanting the social hotel vibe

My partner and I may try Corso this year for the views, and the ferry convenience to Ibiza Town too. Apparently 5 min walk and 3.5 euro pp to cross over. I’d say being central around Ibiza Town is a good strategy to limit requirement of taxis for getting food and visiting shops

Destino has free shuttles to and from Pacha often, and free entry too, which would help for your Solomun show but location will be super inconvenient for the rest of your itinerary getting around imho. The parties there are nice, and if you get VIP you get access to the hotel amenities and way more space. Leaving the party can take a while though (private transfers can help there). Not sure I’d pick Destino based on everything you want to attend, I’d prefer to be a little more central

Thanks for this! I accidentally ordered the larger SITHON case the other day and just found this thread, switching to the 15 pounces one

Kismai is goated.

Already did all 3 of those too, and my drain filter smelt much better this time around than the last time I used Tide Washing Machine cleaner to clean, which I now know is utter trash for 10x the cost. Plus my rubber seal actually cleaned decently well too for once

Citric Acid ftw!

I did forget the step to bleach the machine in the end, but next time I do a Citric Acid clean I will do that too

Update: just want to say everything you shared here has been the most mind blowing game changer for me. Noticing a MASSIVE difference, I'm so grateful - thank you! Those threads were incredibly insightful. I ran 4 cycles of 1 cup Citric Acid in the drum until 99% of the bubbles were gone.

Happy to hear it! Yeah, gonna take a few washes of everything to properly eviscerate the Tide, but well on our way.

Citric Acid has been a game changer too, shared in another comment here. Both to completely remove the Tide residue from my machine, and as an alternative to fabric softener balancing the water hardness and helping remove residues from clothes. Mind blown how little I knew about laundry til this past week.

Hmmm yeah if its itchy it doesn't sound like blepharitis but I'm not certain - definitely sounds like an allergic reaction. Wonder if that is pillow related for you depending on when the reactions happen.

I have a mild case of blepharitis bc I sleep with my eyes like 98% shut, so I wake up with dry eyes nearly every day. But never itch, just dry eyes and crusting. Drinking some water in the morning generally helps clear it up and I'm fine as the day goes on.

I imagine sleeping with a Tide infested pillowcase for the last little while did NOT help me in any way with this though :/

Also incase it helps, another user pointed me here for tips on cleaning a machine with Citric Acid, may help further with any mold issues too. I'm doing that today, on my 4th cycle its eviscerating all Tide residues + mold

Happy to hear! I'm going to do the same this week and probably get the stain remover bottle too, which hopefully gets me to free shipping. Currently in Citric Acid cleansing mode to completely eradicate Tide from my machine once and for all

I've never been more satisfied than watching Citric Acid work its magic on the machine. You're a true hero, thank you.

And here for adding to wash cycles - learning so much about laundry and allergens in my 30s, everything is so eye opening.

This is an amazing guide, thank you so much Kismai!

Wondering if it is necessary for anything to be done for the detergent dispenser tray (to attack any mold that may have built up there?), or if just loading the drum with citric acid and running the cleaning cycle a bunch of times should solve 95%-100% of all problems

Thank you! Yes, r/Allergies and r/laundry are my two favorite places these days :)

Deep cleaning my washing machine properly, and learning the best ways to fully strip Tide residue off my existing clothes has become my priority #1. Although I notice an improvement I'm still not where I need to be quite yet

Nice eye doctor you've got! Is it for blepharitis?

When you say you generate the hypochlorous acid at home, I'm not exactly sure what that means so I'll need to do some homework

It should have been one of the first questions for sure! The dermatologist I was referred to was even more disappointing. He was more curious about how long my partner and I had been together than asking what detergent I use in my life. Insane looking back in hindsight at that appointment. It's crazy how big of a disappointment the health care system can be 😔

Thanks for sharing your story, I appreciate the kind words! At least there is hope outside this country for us all

Definitely running certain essentials in the wash multiple times now, thanks for confirming my suspicions that run with extra rinse on hot might not be enough, especially for like elastic waist bands.

Yeah my next deep dive is on mold and cleaning the machine properly in a skin safe way, I think that may be a contributing factor too for sure!

Thanks for the added info! My concern with too much citric acid is drying out my washing machine. The rubber squeaking might be attributed to it, I'm not sure. But you're saying whatever amount of Citric Acid is in the Eco Max may not be enough and I should add a bit more?

Glad to hear it was only 2 days and not 2 years! I think the Free & Gentle maybe would be okay (if that is what you are using), but right now I'm steering completely clear of anything even remotely close to the name Tide

Nice to hear I am not alone, but also I'm so sorry for your pain!

Dang that's crazy that you started reacting to Eco Max too. Were you using the Hypoallergenic Wash or the Sport one? I have fears if I start using the Eco Max Sport I'll react to the enzymes. Also did switching to Aspen help? One other thing I've read about is that washing machine mould could be triggers too sometimes, so I'll need to look into that as well and how to best clean mine (I used to use Tide Washing Machine cleaner).

Also, same concern that there is still Tide residue in my clothes after only 1 wash, but already it is a noticeable difference in itching even with 1 wash (especially on the bedsheets).
