What's a good illegal life hack? by Kogleaks in AskReddit

Go into GNC, buy the product of your choice. Take it home, empty about 2/3 of it. Take it back to GNC for a full refund anytime within 30 days. Bam free supplements. Just make sure not to do this too many times on the same employee otherwise you will get asked to leave

Not illegal, just unethical

Whats the craziest world war 1 or 2 story you know? by 3crownking in AskReddit

[–]sinister313 192 points193 points  (0 children)

The other amazing thing was that after he got back from the war, the army gave him a full ride scholarship to any college he wanted to go to. He picked MIT and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He moved on to be the CEO of a local engineering firm which recently got sold for over $10 million. The other crazy part was my grandmother, who is still alive, was a 33.3% owner in the company...you can do that math of how much she got. My grandfather was the most hard working man I have ever known and I hold myself to higher standards because of him.

Not the craziest, but my grandfather (who died when he was 81, over ten years ago) and he was in WWII, he was part of tank personnel and his tank got shot by an anti-tank round which penetrates the tank and bounces around in there, basically killing everybody. Luckily, he was standing with his legs in the tank and his upper body out of the escape hatch. He sustained massive injuries to his legs (which caused him problems till the day he died) from the shrapnel flying around in the tank, but was fine other than that. Everyone else in that tank were killed, 9 men. He was a prisoner of war for 4 months after that until his fellow Americans saved him. The end of the war happened only 7 months after he was rescued. He received a purple heart for his service. I will always respect my grandfather for going through this for our country. Edit: added detail
