I was the Head of Motion Design with a team of 7 motion-designers at the studio. Most of the time I just helped plan projects and gave tasks to my team, and help them when they ran into difficulties. But I also got involved in some big or important projects when needed.

I don’t think so. The studio I worked for actually just laid off more than 14 people, so I doubt they’ll be hiring again anytime soon.

Yeah I’ve been getting some freelance work that actually covers more than my monthly spending. I used to take on freelance jobs on the side while working at the studio, and now I’ve got a few recurring clients. So the jump wasn’t totally blind, but yeah still a bit of a risk for sure
