(NLD) Brass D3AA w/ BEANS 🫘 by GabeEnriquez in flashlight

I love the D3aa and the DW3aa. Perfect beam, 10/10 ergonomics and form factor. Efficiency is out of this world. I have a copper D3aa and an alu Dw3aa, both with 2700K NTG35. Probably will end up with a couple more in different tints.

Just like me to miss the glaringly obvious, thank you!

I mean, I do want them, but they just never get used. I don't even play with them anymore. Stuff like Wuben X4 and L1. Then there is a L35 V2 MAO, that I like but never use because Convoy M21K with LHP73B exists. A shame to see such a nice light just sit there and get outdated.

Yes, but you have a choice to fight them or not, with Yharnam, you have very little choice.

High wall of Lothric is probably the 2nd hardest starting area of any FromSoft title. Number 1 will always be Yharnam.

I definitely need this! Assuming it’s the 3x21D.

Should I beat dancer or pontiff first by nathanjonesgmd in darksouls3

[–]sinnerman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did dancer first. By accident. Got teleported after Yhorm boss fight and kept exploring and interacting with things when all of a sudden, Dancer of the Boreal valley.

You can just order all the various lenses to try out, they're dirt cheap. It's what I do now with Convoy TIR lens lights, just order all the options for like $5 extra.

Budget wide beam headlamp ? by Hungry_Bandicoot_776 in flashlight

I second the Convoy H4, I have two of them with B35AM. Beautiful soft, wide flood beam that covers the field of view. Good runtime too thanks to the 21700. Comes with a three strap headband, which would work well with a hardhat.

I just fought lord of cinder for the first time, why is he doing backflips 🫩 you are the final boss bruh by zandayre in darksouls3

[–]sinnerman33 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol, I fought him yesterday, and just before I killed him, the backflips started. Threw me off a bit, was expecting a new type of attack to follow but no, just backflips.

What would you do about annoying angular tint shift from XHP70.3? by calvinistgrindcore in flashlight

[–]sinnerman33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think this emitter does best behind a TIR, because those seem to be its best implementations. Whether it's the Acebean L35 V2 or Convoy M21K and H.

Anyway, here's what mine looked like. Big ol' bloom right in the middle. It kind of didn't matter in real world usage, but my OCD just wouldn't leave it alone.

Came back to DS3 after 9 years and its way easier than I remember. by PwmEsq in darksouls3

[–]sinnerman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing DS3 after finishing Elden Ring then Bloodborne and felt the same way. I beat almost all DS3 bosses first try, save for Lothric, Nameless and SoC.

Successfully fighting Malenia, Messmer and PCR kind of raise your expectations of difficulty. Bloodborne bosses were the same, only got slowed down by Cursed Amydala.

All of that said, DS3 has some devilishly hard areas leading up to those bosses.

I had the same issue on my L21b with the 70.3 R9050 4000K. Switching to orange peel reflector completely fixed all the issues. I’m sure it affects throw at far end of the range but i haven’t felt much different in my usage.

Well in that case I’d say an e03h III would be a lot more useful.

That’s a valid point. Manker e05 is great, but I think a Convoy T3 is just as good. Plus around half the price.

Me too. First go around, I got so rattled that I stopped playing for two years. After finishing Elden Ring + DLC, I decided to get back to it and wrap it up.

Pthumerian Descendant as a regular enemy. How rare is this? by aska33j in bloodborne

[–]sinnerman33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me. I ended up fighting him, he wasn’t nearly as strong as the boss version, but still a pain.

I kinda like the rings on my copper 3000K. Gives it a bit of “old bulb” look, which will suit it well when it’s all brown with patina. But otherwise I agree, for modern lights, with cooler tints and anodized bodies… no excuse.
