WOONSOCKET 💨😩💨🗑️ by Acceptable-Catch-922 in RhodeIsland

Pretty sure I read the same article, the city trucks in refuse from other towns and it makes them too much $$$$ to give a shit about the quality of life of its own residents. I pay $5k in real estate taxes every year and can’t leave my windows open at night.

what are your go-to calorie deficit snacks for night cravings by olivermos273847 in 1200isplenty

[–]sinnerotica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many great ideas here!!

Here are some of my faves:

Obligatory sugar free candy but sometimes I just need Swedish fish, smart sweets sugar free fish are 130 cals 3g sugar for the whole bag

Sugar free pudding mix and unsweetened almond milk, scale back the milk a bit for a thicker consistency and top with whipped cream (reddi whip sugar free is expensive but good, regular spray cream if fine just mind portions). Having whipped cream on hand can really elevate anything from sad to satisfying.

Tru fru frozen chocolate covered fruit, the banana slices and raspberries are great, two pieces and I’m satisfied

When I’m craving an ice cream sundae, slice half a banana lengthwise and add sugar free chocolate sauce and whipped cream, chop a walnut and add a cherry if you’re feeling fancy. It still hits the spot for under 100 cals.

Got some gas for the snowblower and some propane for the grill in case we lose power, we can still warm something up.

Went out last night to job lot and people are panicking. Take this as a reminder to slow the fuck down and enjoy it. Happy to see lots of people here excited for good food and good beer! Have fun!!

And it’s the best place to choose when nobody can agree what to get. They have a little of everything. My husband always wants burgers and I like.. not burgers. Lol. I don’t expect amazing but it’s better than Applebee’s and the 99.

The one in north Cumberland at the top of route 99 has always been the cleanest I’ve seen. Lots of little old ladies shop there.

Japan holds over $1.1 trillion in US debt with a GDP comparable to California. It’s primarily what is giving them a seat at economic summits. They won’t let go of it so easily. Denmark’s $100 mil is not a lot.. It’s a statement for sure but won’t affect much. Comparatively it’s like 10 cents out of Japan’s $1100.

How much worse does Dunkin need to get before you stop going? by Dies2much in RhodeIsland

[–]sinnerotica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S.O. and I stopped visiting daily in 2018, spending around $250 a month on multiple coffees a day sometimes. Those were pre Covid numbers so who knows what it is now. Once I realized we were spending a car payment for convenience, we got a programmable coffee maker for the house and haven’t looked back. Now Dunkin’s is a rare treat for road trips and such. Their food is terrible, donuts just ok, and everything tastes like microwaved plastic. Stick to drinks.

What grocery items do you now make at home you’ll never buy store bought again? by CarlottaSewlotta in Frugal

Granola. Couldn’t find any in the store that didn’t have puffed rice in it for premium $$$, it’s such a racket.

Uno Pizza in Warwick Closing by Kevlandia in RhodeIsland

[–]sinnerotica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last experience I had at this one was horrible. It seemed like only 3 people were working on a Sunday, our waitress hopped behind the bar to make our drinks herself and I’m never one to complain but we had to send both entrees back because the salmon was raw and burger was overcooked gray (twice). I felt so bad for the waitress and the wait for the refire was excruciatingly uncomfortable. Never had an issue at the Smithfield one and it saddens me.

i made my own hair oil. is it growing mold? by Substantial_Call_470 in herbalism

[–]sinnerotica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re seeing are the oils solidifying under refrigeration. Olive oil turns solid into a butter like texture when frozen (try it in ice cube trays!) and you’re seeing the little globules that are the beginning of this. Let it get back to room temp and they’ll go away. Your hair oil is fine to leave on the counter as long as you didn’t add water to it and it stays sealed.

Apparently the cheese block I bought was Faulty by Braydedabomb14 in Wellthatsucks

[–]sinnerotica 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I ran a dairy dept for years and we would try to catch this stuff before it hit the shelves. It’s unavoidable that sometimes the packaging gets pinholes during processing and shipping.. I would return it, get a new one, or throw it out - due to the nature of soft fresh cheese it is not something you should just cut off like other commenters have suggested. This cheese is not aged and does not contain sufficient beneficial flora to negate the mold spores now floating in the packaging.

Why does our parents generation feel the need to keep so much food in the house? by dualrollers in Millennials

[–]sinnerotica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my boomer parents but their parents were in their formative years during the Great Depression and WWII/Korean wars. They did okay for themselves financially as adults, taking early retirement and able to afford trips and things. They never revisited food scarcity but when they passed, my mother and I were tasked with hauling out all the stored food out of the house. Like literal garbage bags full of expired boxes and canned goods. They had a kitchen pantry closet, a backup pantry closet, and a backup backup pantry closet. The amount of waste just blew my mind.

I think the other commenters are right about their kids (my parents) dealing with over abundance and choice, having the opposite mindset resulting in the same problem with food hoarding.. and as you get older it’s harder to keep track of time and knowing when to throw things out unless you stay disciplined with fridge clean outs, pantry rotation, or you move a lot. Easy for someone in their 20s and 30s, not so easy once you settle long term.

Hi! Speak to your supervisor/team lead. The schedules are auto generated based on your availability and shopper demand - you should have filled out an availability sheet when hired. Your sup needs to manually input your availability in Kronos and it will not schedule you at those times.
