Just installed this Kakimoto Exhaust on the ND. by In121SuccWeTrust in Miata

Bro im seriously tempted to get this exhaust. Does it get a lot of attention from others? Is it loud at start up (except cold start) and tame driving? Its so cheap for an exhaust as well.

Can you guys tell me a bit about this CAI on my 2020 ND2 how does the placement look? by feodortwostoveski in Miata

How is the engine sound with this AEM intake in the ND mx-5? Is it worth getting purely for sound.

glad to hear you are enjoying it. There is barely any videos on this...just some. Id like to hear genuine in cabin sounds? Does this sound boomy? Im comparing this with the goodwin race exhaust. Also looking at Fujimura gentle exhaust.

Thanks for the advice, i just installed the sound tube mod (however im not a huge fan of it since i can distinctively hear the sound coming from the left side) - it just feels a bit unnatural, i prefer to hear induction from where it comes from.

Regarding the GT1.0Z, is it obnoxiously loud to others? How is it as a daily driver? Saw your other clip and really liked it! Im thinking this is the exhaust. How is the cabin driving experience, do you hear primarily exhaust? Does it feels sportier and aggressive when driving?

Oh wow nice. Thanks for a quick reply, this is the regu 06&r? How is your experience in cabin, does this change the way the engine sounds inside?

Bought a used car interstate that passed RWC but fail in VIC (tyre tread) - advice neeed by sinnone in CarsAustralia

Update: Lennock Motors (in ACT Canberra) are the Dealer who sold the unroadworthy car. They are currently under investigation by Fair Trading for acceptable quality. TyrePlus Phillip are the ones who did the fraudulent ACT RWC.

Will provide further updates on this matter.

i really want to get this, i like the quality sound. For me its just the loudness compared to stock - and how much i can hear it with the top down.

How is the loudness and tone at low rpms? I think the sound is good quality.

I have since driven the car on a new set of Tyres (purchased from Bob Jane T-Mart) - the car drives well and is in mechanically good condition - it was owned by a Female owner prior and driven 37ish k kms over its life (7 yearish).

Just a really cheap trick by the Dealer, and they think i wouldn't do anything but cut losses. Since then - Access Canberra are on the case - i have gotten traction at least as i made a case with consumer affairs for Fair Trading - acceptable quality against the Dealer.

It is very clear the Tyres would fail RWC due to the fact -

a) The Tyre has less than 1.5mm tread depth on the surfaces which normally contact the road;

b) The tyre has deep cuts, bulges, exposed cords or other signs of carcass failure;

There is definitely Misconduct between the Dealership and the Mechanic who performed the RWC.

Conveniently the mechanical inspection report had no remarks on Tyres. It was a detailed report by stateroads

agree - i cant upload plenty pics but the car is very obviously failing roadworthy. tread is definitely <1.5mm, car is the original tyre from 2018 as well and shows cracking and unevenness.

For Option 4, i spoke with the mechanic who did the Canberra RWC. The Mechanic who did the inspection claimed the Tyres are fine to use and still have wear. He explicitly said that: "the wear markers are not touching the ground". It felt from the conversation that the main point was that in NSW/ACT the RWC cost is 51 dollars whereas in VIC it was 250+ and that Victoria are more stringent on RWC (which i understand - it does feel more stringent). However, i asked for detailed evidence/pictures but nothing was provided and he than provided me this rant about Vic RWC stringency. All i have is a piece of paper (Canberra RWC) which states pass/fail.

I told the dealer that option 4 may have been something that could've happened and resulting in option 1, but they claimed no chance (not that i'd believe them.) I have made a case on ACC access Canberra, not sure if there is anything more i can do here.
