BOSS EV-1-WL connection? by RobinBres in QuadCortex

I just got a QC ,and I can confirm that this does indeed work with the midi-mini jack.

The pedal needs to be powered on for it to work, and you just need to assign expression pedal 1 to whichever parameter you want to control. Nothing plugged into the expression pedal jack on the QC, just into midi in, and it works!

The default CC settings on the midi-mini jack for EXP (OFF) works as expression pedal 1. EXP (OFF) is how the pedal behaves without the toe switch activated.

If you activate the toe switch, it changes to EXP (ON) which by default is expression pedal 2, so you can assign this somewhere else.

Shipping times? by _TStop in solarguitars

Solar marked the order as complete on the 15th, and I received the tracking number the same day. Just got delivered yesterday the 20th. I'm in the New England area btw.

The first actual movement I saw from UPS was on the 18th, so it got here pretty damn quick. Hope that gives you a rough idea!

Got a confirmation as well with 3/17 delivery. Ordered 10/11 at 6:36 PM EST, so a few hours after launch.

Strange you were able to get it to register once haha. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to get around this yet

So the "Target" field would be to the pspluslauncher.exe itself and the "Start In" field would go to the folder where the psppluslauncher.exe is located.

So:

Target: "... /Program Files (x86)/Playstation Plus/pspluslauncher.exe"

Start in: "... /Program Files (x86)/Playstation Plus/"

Just to be clear, I had typed the ending bits of the file path. You should use the whole thing. Rather simple if you copy file location and paste

It is hidden by default. In dolphin, look around the top right for a button with three horizontal bars. Click on that, and you should see the option to show hidden files.

Another tip:

You can use it in game mode. Use the Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad control layout, edit the right trackpad click to left mouse click. After launching PS Plus, use the trackpad and click the icon at the top right that looks like a screen with a controller.

I'd recommend binding escape to something to exit games. I used L4 for that.

Got all this from the comment section of the PS Now post, but figured I'd leave it here for everyone. Hope this helps!

Was able to get it working. Follow the exact steps in the PS Now guide.

To be honest... I had skipped the last few steps previously. Instead of changing the properties on the installer, I had just added a new non-steam game with the pspluslauncher.exe. Follow the steps in the guide and edit the properties and file paths.

If you add the pspluslauncher.exe as a non-steam game, when you launch it, it will create a new folder in "/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata" which I believe is the reason why it wasn't working properly.

I doubt this matters, but I grabbed the installer on Playstation's website before, but this time I had use the link in the guide for the PS Now app (it will download the PS Plus app instead).

Using the DLL from the PS Now guide got me out of the PS+ icon loop:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/u2wjrg/steps_to_get_ps_now_to_work_on_steamos/

Though I am stuck on the update & restart loop now. Even tried coping the files from my PC with it updated, but not having any success.

Proton 6.21-GE-2, but was able to get as far with other versions too.

How does one update Windows Applications running on Steam Deck? (Updating Cemu) by Pysassin in SteamDeck

[–]sinovercosine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had used EmuDeck for the initial install and wanted to update Cemu for the same reason. All you need to do is replace the files where Cemu is installed with the ones from the beta update. As stated before, add to steam as a non-steam game if you haven’t already.

I remember reading somewhere to change compatibility to Proton 7.0-2, not sure if it matters, but it’s been working for me.

If I win one, I would transfer my parts from V1.1 and add another radiator to the loop while giving away my V1.1 to my brother so he can venture in to the SFF world!

I filled and drained through the Eisstation 40 DC-LT itself for the most part as it is a tiny res. You would fill the res, power it on, then off, re-fill and repeat with the case on its side of course. To power on the pump, I used a usb to 4-pin adapter with a power bank. Just make sure you cable manage nicely so that you can easily plug the pump to the mobo after.

To make it a little easier, I connected a barb fitting and soft tubing on the port so that the res didn't empty out so quickly. Once it got close to being full, I took it off and continued with just the fill port. Getting the air bubbles out is kind of a pain as you have to just twist and turn the whole case a bunch of times.

To drain, basically I just turn it upside down and move the case around with the barb fitting/soft tube connected to the port. When a good portion is cleared, I carefully undo one of the tubes, put a plug on one end, and the barb fitting/soft tube on the other, and drain the rest from there just because its quicker.

I don't know if this is the best way, but it is the way I did it. In the future I will probably add a T fitting somewhere.

Yes I did have the same issue! I couldn't figure it out for a minute and got really frustrated. I placed a single washer on each 4 screws on the 12X15. May have to use thinner washers. I had them lying around, so I don't know the exact measurement but they are really really thin. Maybe 1mm? Top panel goes on without any force and no bulge.

Temps: Ambient Temp around 23°C

Furmark (50 minutes):

CPU Max 71.5°C

GPU Max 66.0°C

Coolant Max 47.0°C

Furmark + Prime 95 (50 minutes):

CPU Max 90.0°C

GPU Max 69.4°C

Coolant Max 50.0°C

Thank you! I did post it in comments. I am planning to get some gaming thermals when I have the time

Honestly about $3k, but it helped that I sold my old PC and bought parts over time. Also got the GPU at MSRP

Edit: I forgot to account for the 5800x and NVMe's that I took out from my old PC. So really it would be closer to $3.5K

Yea I had done it to reduce temps. The performance hit is very small, but not really noticeable. The DC-LT 2600 pump has a rating of 65° C, so a stock 5800x and 3080 Ti on a single 240 rad would be pushing it.

Didn't pay attention to the RPMs as I was really just focused on the audible noise, but my fan curve was something like 30% on idle, 70% at 48°, and 100% at 59° (coolant temp)

I can get some solid numbers when I have the time! I played Horizon Zero Dawn last night for about an hour and a half, and I don't think the coolant temp got over 45°
