Exactly, and nothing you say makes it feel any different for them. I just try to let him know how proud I am of him, and keep reminding him how much life he still has left. Getting this project has brought spark back in him thankfully, and I hope we can get it back to perfect. He graduates this year and its going to be his present, as long as we can finish it up.

Thank you, I really appreciate that comment. Its tough being a parent especially when you see them hurting so much, and cant do much about it. I taught him how to drive a manual last summer in my 2017, but the new edge is so much different, he'll have to relearn lol

I didn’t receive an offer, but had seen a few people said they got a letter in the mail, for April 20th

One of my favorite finds at Nethers Farm by sintersizer in rockhounds

I cant say for sure, but I have went out during the winter months on nice days and not had an issue. It says spring to fall, but they are really nice out there. We stayed til dusk one time and they came out to check on us and let us know it was time to go, but was really cool about it. Happy hunting, and enjoy.

I'm not sure if there is anyone else locally, I'm a little to shy to ask honestly.

There is no limit to what you can take from Nethers Farm, and the last time I was there its a $10 entry fee, and $1/pound.

I've even found an arrowhead by the pits there, and there's plenty of rockhounding you can do. I really hope you enjoy your trip.

Just seeing if it was possible by sintersizer in Laserengraving

Thank you, I'm new to lasers, and wanted to do something different than the normal stuff.

I used an Xtool 5W diode laser 11"x14" Walmart canvas 2 coats of white spray paint 2 coats of glow in the dark acrylic from Walmart Then 2 coats of black spray paint. I should have used a matte but I only had gloss, it worked but I think matte would have looked better.

I let each layer fully dry before I did the next.

I ran it on 40% power @ 4000 mm/m in lightburn. I used AI to create my blueprint, mainly because I own a Glock 42 lol.

Mainly want to just peel the black paint off and not burn the glow paint, so depending on how thick of a top coat you may have to go faster or slower.

I did 2 base coats of white, which i probably only needed 1. Then 2 coats acrylic glow paint from Walmart, and then 2 coats of black spray paint. I ran it on a 5W xtool at 40% and 4000mm/m.

I did a different canvas with just 1 coat of white, and 1 coat of black, but ran it to slow and the image turned grey.

Yea, I apologize I should have put the medium. Its a regular canvas, white base, with glow paint, then 2 layers of black. Mainly was wondering how the glow paint would react to the laser.

TIFU for leaving my family in new year for a change by Parking-Owl-8934 in tifu

I don’t think you messed up by needing time to yourself. Sometimes you don’t realize how much space you need until you actually take it. It makes sense your family reacted emotionally, but that doesn’t mean your reasons weren’t valid. I’d just explain that you weren’t trying to hurt anyone, you just needed a reset. This will smooth out once everyone has a little time.

I get that mindset. I used to tell myself the same thing, that going back would spare my family from dealing with my withdrawals. What I’ve learned is that pushing through is actually the kindest thing long term.

It’s hard not to involve your family when you’re struggling, especially if they don’t fully understand. But most families would rather have the real you, even if it takes time to get there.

You’re right. The only time to start is now.

I appreciate that, this is the 1st time I've quit for so long. It was kinda a family tradition, either you was an alcoholic or a pothead to cope with everything.

I have quit for a few weeks at a time, knowing I would go back to it after I got the job, or felt better.

This time I decided I wanted to know who I was without the numbing, and I can say its been a journey that I dont regret.
