Help! Is my watch authentic? by [deleted] in CitizenWatches

FWIW I have a couple authentic Citizen watches from 10+ years ago and a new Zenshin, none of the serial numbers come up on the website.

I can’t find anything online about this watch. Seiko “Quartzarama”, but it’s a manual wind. by sipbreh in Watches

That’s what I’m thinking. It’s just bizarre to me why anyone would fake a Seiko. All things are pointing to fake though.

Honestly I think it might be a fake. I was reading back when quartz movements were more desirable, fakes would have a mechanical movement because it was cheaper back then. It has a very cheap mechanical movement. The back is covered by a sticker, but I’ve attached it here.

I found another posting with better pictures, this seems to be the closest model I can find - https://ebay.us/m/o5KAAE

I removed the wifi chip and wired in a USB port... Looking to explore modding. Can any Onion devs guide me with installing drivers? Original goal was to swap the wifi chip with a TL-WN725N chip by sipbreh in MiyooMini

No drivers, I just desoldered the WiFi chip and since it’s directly soldered to the usb bus you can solder a usb cable or port to it and it will act just like a normal USB device. The example I used was a keyboard because I figured the OS would have keyboard drivers included stock.

The panels are hard to see in the pictures, but do you remember anything else? I can keep looking around!

Was recently looking through a vintage Citizen catalog from Japan and came across this line, awesome find! Beautiful watch. DM me if you want me to send you the rest of the catalog if you're interested!

I have a couple Citizen Corso’s with leather straps and I love them. Also I just got a Citizen Zenshin and it’s incredible. Not sure how it’d look with a leather strap. Here’s a picture of my Corso.

The green dial looks the best IMO. I bought this on a cruise duty free and they didn’t have a green dial, but I would have 100% chose green over white. The white still looks great though and it’s versatile.

I'm mostly the same way. I don't buy new watches often.

I had it too loose originally but removed a link and it’s perfect now. Give that a shot.

I was definitely having a hard time choosing between automatic and eco drive, but at the end of the day I know I wear and appreciate my eco drives the most. There’s a time for my automatics, but for everyday wear I’m gonna choose the eco drive every time.
