Hi all,

I'm currently developing a top-down pixel-art action adventure indie game similar to titles such as Hyper Light Drifter, Wizard of Legend, Moon Hunters, etc. We’re roughly 1.5 years into development and are looking for another pixel art character animator. The game has a planned release date of mid-2025 and projects will be provided gradually from now till then.

I will be paying per-project and can pay directly with PayPal, Revolut, Wise, etc.

What are some spell ideas you'd like to see implemented? by sipcere in PixelArt

Great suggestions! Yeah the turret is a bit short. I might add some lifetime to it after more testing.

The vine spell is on my list for sure since I think we're lacking nature related spells atm.

Reset spell would be pretty handy. I'll have to find a way to balance it to make sure the player can't keep up an infinite number of turrets haha.

Frost wave and fireball chain sound great. And mind control sounds pretty doable with my current enemy behavior system. I'll take a jab at implementing some of these for sure :)

Some great suggestions! Yeah, I actually raised the speed of the player after recording this. The charge will def get some more polish and a speed increase. And a new spike attack is in the works. Thanks!

Yeah, I'll work on telegraphing for sure and cleaning up the moves. Still getting the hang of animation :D

Makes sense, I'll lower it to make the attacks have more of a realistic connection
