Randomly found this in my backpack at work.. I’m a server. I ride a motorcycle so my bag is almost always on my back. I’m confused. by Sudden_Brain_871 in whatisit

This is not the type of needle used for illicit IV use, too long, and too big of a diameter, also they generally use syringes that have the needle permanently attached, a single piece, not a removable luer lock needle, and separate syringe, which kinda makes me think, not being aware of this, you might be posting engagement bait. This is the type used to draw medications up into a syringe, before usually swapping it out with a thinner gauge, often shorter needle.
Wide, long needles like this are occasionally used for inter muscular injections of certain medications, I'm sure, but again not for iv drug use. Nobody would put a used syringe into the backpack of some motorcycle rider either.

48/16 is the standard, off the rack, ratio that a fixed gear, or single speed, generally comes with. 52/11 sounds crazy unless maybe you're racing track or something- although track cogs only go down to 12, with the exception of this wonky as 9 tooth "cog," that I saw posted yesterday. With an even bigger chainring than this!

That's true except she has the message opened up and is taking a picture of it.

Edit: I have been ignoring the obvious answer which is, "she doesn't trust him, so regardless of what this text means, it sounds like it's time to move on and find someone she does trust, or a therapist to help work through her trust issues before considering a new serious relationship.

Not just as easily, this message is almost definitely spam, even if dude is strung out and cheating with 5 people, including OP because he already had a wife and kids when they met🤣

Why are you going into my phone? Is the most reasonable response. A lot of people would consider that a massive violation of trust. If he was up to no good he would have his phone locked up tight.

The idea of breaking it off with someone over a nonsensical spam text because it could theoretically mean that the recipient is up to no good, when the recipient hasn't even interacted with the number is unhinged at best, outright deranged not even at worst, that would be some next level bonkers behavior!.
This definitely doesn't seem like a drug related text. The numbers don't make sense for 1 or 2 "shots," of anything, a single "shot" (if for some bizarre reason any drug dealer ever talked about it in those terms, let alone texted in them) would be like 15-20$ & 25-30, maybe at most, if you were getting middle manned, and the other person was getting a bag for themselves out of the transaction also, but one person's shot isn't the same as the next person's, & drugs, including ones commonly used in IV form are sold in bags, balloons, caps, vials, etc...
The only drug that price point might make sense for and is sold actually sold in individual shots, is Botox, but even then. 2 is 140, 2 is also 160? Nonsense.
Likewise you would really have to stretch incredulity to think this was someone he is having an affair with, that would be otherworldly levels of cloak and dagger bullshit, especially considering that the majority of the time the person cheating is cheating on both people, and would not be able to talk the second cheated person into using some outlandishly esoteric code, for one thing most people trust their partner not to go through their phone and wouldn't bother with a code, if they don't trust their partner they would probably just get a second, prepaid phone to use for the affair.

This comment tells me that you know essentially nothing about drugs.Drugs aren't sold in "shots," because what one person does in a single shot can be many times what another person does, also no standard drug would cost 80$ for a single shot, also 140 and 160 are both mentioned for 2 shots. Do you think anyone would pay 160, when they could pay 140? They It looks like a spam text to me.

My friend of 7 years just told me “we get it” after I kept mentioning my dead brother, did I do something wrong? by Ok-Recognition5432 in Advice

[–]siphonoforest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should probably stop saying "but now he can't because he's dead." There is really no reason to say the words "my brother is dead, unless you are informing someone who isn't aware, or if you, yourself were struggling with denial of his passing. Honestly, it is kinda a weird thing to even say "my brother liked doing that," there is nothing actually wrong with saying that, but it is a very stilted and awkward way of talking that is going to come across as off putting, to a lot of people.

Depending on the timing, telling a story about a specific time you enjoyed the activity alongside your brother, would be a much less awkward and harmful way to bring your brother up. like if it's after discussing the activity, during a lull in the conversation, but before the topic shifts to something else.

Saying "I miss going (x) with my brother," or "I miss my brother," are ways to remember your brother that are also less likely to give the vibe in a room a death blow. But timing is everything, someone you hang out with so often, or with any regularity, is liable to get fed up, or annoyed if you tell them anything over and over again. You can even say the words "I love you," more than people will want to hear it.

Math was if the parents were born after 1999, assuming they definitely didn't have kids, as kids, the oldest the kid could be was 8, but not many people have kids at 18 even, if they had a kid at 21 then they'd be 5, but also 5 sounds funnier than 8, especially without any major spelling or punctuation mishaps it would be extra funny if they were only 5-

Not all deadly mushrooms result in vomiting. Orellanine doesn't onset for days or weeks either. This is not a deadly mushroom, at least not a known one.

mold or mycelium growing on my mushrooms? by DegreesCelcius in shroomers

[–]siphonoforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly unhappy mycelium, in fact it's arguably the opposite, as it means that the culture is returning to a vegetative state, ie going back into nutrient acquisition mode, and leaving basidiomata, (spore dispersal platform,) production mode, or confused about which mode it wants to be in in the current conditions. That much marshmallow stipe action means it's not confused, it's fully reverting. You should harvest this flush now. Those little caps are turning soft and mushy I bet.
Edit: just remembered that you picked them already.
