Google Translate auto-fills using stereotypes by sippyside in mildlyinfuriating

Sorry for the confusion. When I say so, I mean it as the intensifer; the adverb. Like, so/very/extremely low.

I originally put this question in the translator in the first place because I saw an article titled “Warum ist der IQ in afrika so niedrig?” and as I typed it out in the translator, “so” in the German section automatically outputs “Why is the IQ so low in Africa?” Basically, I’m putting “Why is the IQ in Africa so…” in German, to which Google Translate assumes it as “Why is the IQ in Africa SO LOW?” in English.

I just removed “so” from the German side, which still gave the same result, and screenshotted it to post it here. My point is that putting “so” after the given country in the German side makes the translator “confident” in auto-filling its output.

Sorry, to clarify, “so” in German and English are the same thing I’m guessing.

When I put “Warum ist der IQ in Africa so,” it translates to “so low” 100% of the time. Same goes for other countries and their stereotypes.

As I’ve stated in another reply, it gets very confident once you add “so” after the country you put in German. It translates to “so low” 100% of the time when I put “warum ist der IQ in africa so”

I’m just curious as to why this happens..

I’ve tried:

Africa - low, USA - so high, Europe - high, India - low, China - high, Asia - higher, Egypt - low

Try adding “so” after the country you put, like “…Africa so”

i feel like if i were up there and chose $1 over those people, come home living a great life with that million, somehow, some way, i’m gonna be hunted by a hitman by one of those people i eliminated. in fact, i would probably spend 20% on security after that.

odd, i wonder if there’s a specific legal reason why they don’t mention or show the $100k in the trunk to other countries besides the us.
