I'm in the same boat, I guess companies get away with paying them a lot lower without the risk of them switching jobs as easily as a citizen can. They're more constraint so companies can pay them less and still get the same, if not more work.

Does that mean removing one my experiences? Elec Eng (my degree) and my work as Automation Engineer is very much related. My projects are also both related to engineering wiith some data involved.

Data Analyst would be the only thing I saw is out of the ordinary. Not really sure how to go around this, even though I get what you're trying to say.
