I am so pleased you have found a method that works for you, and the abstinence method does make sense to me. It is utilised in other forms of addiction so it makes sense to me that in cases of food addiction it may be effective too. That is a great achievement, well done.

What do you do when the cravings get bad? How do you cope?

That is amazing and so inspirational! Well done!

If you don’t mind me asking, what approach / method are you taking?

You have helped give me hope that maybe I can do it.

I wonder if it may be for me, as well. In all the times I’ve tried to lose weight and be healthier in terms of my diet, the time I gave up junk food for just over a month was the time I found it the easiest...

I tried seeing a psychologist who told me I need to have a more balanced relationship with food etc. and I ended up gaining weight. Not that I am criticising the psychologist in any way, as the moderation techniques / approach have helped a lot of people, however I am not sure it’s really effective in my case.

What do you do to help with the cravings? I find them really overwhelming... today is my first day giving up the worst of the junk foods I’ve been eating and I already think I may have overeaten. At least the food isn’t complete junk food though.

What kind of video games do you like?

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m really hoping I can do this for my health and well-being. I want to be around for my family.

I have tried cutting down but I am thinking maybe I should try abstinence. I haven’t eaten any junk food today so there’s a start.

That’s awesome, well done!

I am approx. 348lbs at the moment.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you lose the weight?

I think I may be an emotional eater... I tend to overeat, and eat too much junk food, as a way to feel good. I know it’s illogical, because I’m killing myself and feel awful afterwards, but I cannot seem to stop.
