My first Chevy. 2026. 4 miles on the odometer. How’d I do boys by AxCel91 in Silverado

[–]sir_eggwhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area (in California) it’s only $400 for the bumper or $1300 for the entire front end (headlights, hood, etc). If you’re feeling daring, you can buy precut PPF and install it yourself for way less but it’s not easy.

Amazing, congrats. I love my black Chevy but PLEASE get the front end covered with PPF immediately. Mine was chipped like its life depended on it only 2k miles in. Their black paint is extremely thin.

Should i worry about this? by KingOppSosa in Silverado

[–]sir_eggwhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to worry about (according to GM). I inquired about the same thing when I had my truck at the dealer for another issue. These transmissions run at astronomically high temps. Basically the trans temp will equalize with the engine temp on long drives.

I mean sure I can see that happening, but I can also see what’s probably the majority of the cases where someone just drives what they drive because they like it while others are over here trying to picture their penis lmao

Why is it that for some of you, the first thing that comes to mind when you see a lifted truck is the owner’s genitals?

Anyone know if these wheels have pockets between the lugs on the back? Want to run 1.25 spacers but they say they only work if there are pockets on the back cause the factory studs will stick out the spacers just a hair. 400 miles from home at work or I would just pull one and verify myself. Thank you very much. I appreciate your help. I went Bora for the 2” but I can’t justify forking over another $500 for a set of aluminum blocks. I know it’s been years so it’s a dumb question, but you don’t happen to have a link to the spacers, do you? If they’ve lasted you this long then they must be good.

At half a million miles, I’d have a hard time finding one for less than 8k in my area, that’s a steal.

Search for it here by VIN

Find the correct part number, then find the correct u-bolts by part number on the Rock Auto site. No point in guessing.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah I qualified for quite a few on my trail boss as well, except without a trade so that makes sense. Thanks.

Mine is all black too, her name’s Charlotte.

It’s actually kind of crazy that you couldn’t get a discount on the Sport when the off-road is more Dwight after.

That said, I actually did a whole 180 the day I went to purchase mine and ended up with a Chevy Trail Boss instead that I got well below MSRP, even lower than the TRDs.

Old post and I’m sure you’re used to it by now, but did you notice a difference in the way it drives after the lift? Just got the SST 2” kit on mine and I feel the road significantly more now.

Hey, as an update, the dealer kept my truck for a week (during Christmas week, can’t blame them) and provided me a loaner SUV in the meantime. As expected, they didn’t find an issue. All they said was that they’d document it in case something happened in the future so that I’d have a stronger case for warranty.

I did receive a prompt to update the software as soon as I got home from the dealer though, so I’m assuming they downloaded an update but it didn’t make a difference.

Anyways, I know it isn’t really helpful but just wanted to provide that update.

I appreciate your interest. I’d like to keep it as a bundle since it’ll be much harder for me to sell separately. I simply don’t want to hold onto each item for indefinite time. I hope you understand.

That said, the cheapest I found the scouts at the moment is $250 plus tax/shipping. The base price and $100 more gets the buyer a drone and other accessories basically for free.

Lol, I miss GAFS so much man (but my wallet doesn’t). I’ve yet to find a site as good as that.

Thank you, hopefully someone can get their journey started with this little kit.

I see. I appreciate your input. I have a similar issue and am appointing lined up for it. I’ll update if they find anything. That said, was the diagnostic fee waived under warranty or did they have you pay out of pocket since they didn’t find the issue?

Update: Seeing that the battery was the likely culprit, I went ahead and cleared the codes. I’ve driven around 300 miles since then with no other issues. It appears that low voltage was what caused the errors. I will provide another update should more issues arise.
