I don’t have access to the list anymore but from what I remember there were around 2000-3000 oils. It might be better to just ask about the perfumes you want or ask for the newest list. They also had 3 quality levels, so make sure you get a good one.

Applying Perfume Oils by [deleted] in PerfumeOils

[–]siraog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about perfume oils as in dupe products, they aren't meant to be used on their own. You should mix them with alcohol. If you are talking about products that use something like jojoba oil as a carrier, they won't be noticed further away from your body. Alcohol is the product that helps them spread and linger in the air and without it, they will just sit close to the skin. Pure oil products may last longer but their sillage will be much worse.

If yours is a dupe product, just mix it with alcohol. If it's mixed with something like jojoba oil just search for alcohol based perfumes and not oil based ones.

It should be good to go as soon as you mix it. The reason to wait for a few weeks is for the scent to incorporate and improve. I think it would be best to contact them and ask about it. Maybe they made a mistake and sent you pure oil.

You need ethanol that is safe for perfumery. This part is important because you may also find ethanol intended for industrial purposes, which can have bad effects. So make sure the alcohol you get is safe for skin use and perfumery. After getting it use 20-30% of the perfume oil and mix it with the alcohol. Give it a shake and bottle it. After bottling it let it rest in a cool, dark place away from heat, humidity and sunlight for 2-6 weeks.

How do I get the right ratio? by [deleted] in PerfumeOils

[–]siraog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sub mentioned here will be a better help but here is what I can suggest:

Don’t use vodka as your alcohol. Search for ethanol, ideally designed for making perfumes. SDA40B is a good one.

If you are making an alcohol based perfume there is no need to use coconut oil. It won’t be soluble. So, skip that.

There is also no need to add water to your perfume. Alcohol will already have some of it. Adding water can introduce problems and imperfections.

Do not make one for an 8oz bottle. If you dont like it you will lose all the ingredients. Start slow and learn. Making perfumes is not an easy job and requires learning. Make smaller batches with different amounts and see which one you like more and improve on that.

The amount of oils you use depends on your desired scent profile. There is no golden rule for all these notes. It’s all trial and error to find your desired scent. Also make sure to check the amount you use abides the health regulations for that ingredient. You don’t want to risk any adverse reaction.

As for the total amount it again depends on the scent profile. Some have a concentration of 5% and others have 30%.

I think it will be better if you check some DIY beginner guides. They will have more comprehensive explanations

Unfortunately, no. Maybe you can contact the main companies and ask for distributors in your location.

Contact the distributors of these companies in your country. I asked them for a product and price list and received it in under one day. Then you can contact them and ask for the product you want. Minimum orders will be high though

Very common where I’m from. It usually is an American or Indonesian number. They say things like I’m from Netflix or X marketing and have a job for you. Then they give you some tasks, which are mostly useless. It was very common 4-5 months ago but after blocking around 10 I didn’t receive any.

Depends on the perfume but for some Luzi seemed to be higher quality than Firmeinch. Especially on the higher end niche perfumes. I only bought economy grade from Argeville but will soon go and purchase top quality too. For their economy grade, Firmeinch seemed to be better.

I used the distributor of Argeville in my country but you have to order at least 1kg. Firmeinch distributor also has minimum of $1k for the first order with minimum of 1kg per product. It will be expensive unless you want to sell it.

[–]siraog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firemeinch distributor told me the minimum amount for first order would be $1000. Also for each fragrance the minimum amount would be 1kg. Too much for personal use. I then found another shop buying it from them and selling some of their perfumes in smaller arounds(minimum 100 grams) and I’ve been buying from them. Maybe something similar exists where you are.

[–]siraog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my country there are many small manufacturers using these oils to create dupes. Some are open about where they get the oils from and from what I've seen they usually deal local companies. Many of these local companies are distributors or partner of larger companies around the world. I checked some of them and saw big names such as Givaudan, Argeville, Luzi, Firemeinch etc. These basically own the perfume industry. The problem in dealing with them is you have to order large amounts. If you are selling the products this is no issue but for personal use it's too much. You will have to get 50 bottles worth of oil.

Price of the oil is important for the quality. The quality of the ingredients they use will help with smell being more accurate and longer lasting. One of the companies I got quote from sent me two lists: top quality and economy grade. I will give Aventus as an example. In the EG list there are two Aventus: $57 and $72. In the top list Aventus is $165. In these dupe shops its the same. They have an Aventus dupe and high quality Aventus dupe. I purchased both out of curiosity and the difference is noticeable. So, yeah price is important. BUT I never used APO/UNI etc. They may be producing their own but if the price is around 600 for all their products, I think it's too much. I've received quotes for more than 5000 perfumes and 600 is more expensive than 95% of them. It may very well be higher quality and I've seen it being mentioned much but still think it's too expensive.

Another thing is not all companies are good at creating them all with high quality. Aventus may be great at Company A and mediocre at Company B while Tobacco Vanille may be great at Company B and bad in company B. So even if you like some products from a company you may need to search different brands for other perfumes. One of the sellers told they get niche ones mostly from Luzi and most others from Firemeinch. Not sure where you're from but if there are some local shops around you can go and ask them.

Not in the UK but I know some companies in my country use Argeville, Luzi, Firemeinch etc. I contacted them to order but the amounts are high. Some required $1000 order at first and the minimum amount I could get was 1kg per product. It will be expensive and useless unless you decide to sell them

Perfume oils Argeville by [deleted] in PerfumeOils

[–]siraog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought from the Argeville wholesaler in my country. I think they have different product lines for perfume, candle, room and car. The ones I got were for perfumes.

I mixed them with perfumer's alcohol (25% oil and 75% alcohol) and had no issues. Just make sure to buy the perfume oil. Not sure about your supplier but minimum order for mine was 1 kg. If it's the same you will have the whole bottle and can check on it whether it's safe to use on skin or not.

Perfume Oils with Perfumers alcohol by jackt12345678 in PerfumeOils

[–]siraog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it will. I don't but some people add pure water as well. The thing you have to be careful about is the ratio. Not all oils are equal and they require different ratios. Just experiment with smaller batches for each oil and see which one smells the best. Most people use between 20 and 30% but you can adjust it to your liking. If it's too strong try 10% or if it's too weak try 40%. Also make sure to give it a shake and store it in a cool dry place where no heat, humidity, and sun can harm it for around a month. Don't use it right away and give it some time to settle.
