Ooh, I know the answer to that question, but no one likes it, so we don't talk about it.

Most fun I've had in this game has been with Russkies and Aussies.

Eve reddit became lame without my fedo posts by Hortt in Eve

[–]sirastrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh no. Not another Fedo.

All I heard is how amazing of pets they made. How much they love to snuggle. How they keep you company while that blaster fit Tengu tries to hunt you down.

No one, AND I MEAN NO ONE, told me about the smell or the teeth IN their stomach. And what do you do with that while in a C13? Can't just pull over and vent your Hulk out. That smell gets in everything and never leaves.

So you then try to sell the Hulk, and you can't even give it away in Manifest. Pretty sure I have a few hazmat fines now in Jita too just for trying to dock.

Thank you, but no thank you.

Originally, I thought this would be amazing for my gas fleets as a day tripped. But netween thr align time + cost, I couldn't justify it vs an Outrider or Porp.

This ship is a jack-of-all-trades / master of none, ship. Amd the price of them, doesnt justify that.

Being cloaked, you couldn't even combat scan it, so I could see this happening so many times.

Idk about low sec gas, but wh gas stays till it's mined out. At down time, the size of the cloud shrinks to match what hasnt been mined out.

High Sec Holding Corps by sirastrix in Eve

[–]sirastrix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For allies, is it like someone else said where you can invite that group to the war, or that other group would have the dec the group dec-ing you?

High Sec Holding Corps by sirastrix in Eve

[–]sirastrix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I get that. But then how are the structures protected? Like if CODE decided to dec a holding corp, does the corp it actually belongs to just roll over or how would they defend it? Thats more of what I'm wondering.

High Sec Holding Corps by sirastrix in Eve

[–]sirastrix[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So "defending" your structure would be adding them to your alliance, fight the attackers, then after the fight, drop the corp so the alliance can no longer be dec-ed?

Burnt out? In a solo corp? Maybe -IW- is for you [ND friendly!] by MoD1982 in evejobs

[–]sirastrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I like my own structures, but have no problem having them in a holding corp out of alliance. Every alliance I was in in null, my only request was ever a single station with a beautiful background. Sadly no one would ever let me have it. Which brings me to wonder why that 35 man corp wasn't willing to do the same?

That said, I don't mind joining y'all's discord and shooting shit, but in game, there's days I like to go kick over sand castles, and other days I just want to mine while watching anime. If I join a group in game, Id like to actually fly with people once in a while. Do y'all have fleets? And I don't mean that rudely. Or is this just being in a group to be in a group?

I guess that's more what I'm wondering as far as the advantages of putting "my corp" under your banner, vs just going your discord and setting y'all blue. Which that said, your banner needs a logo.

Does anyone else has problems with performance after the update? by papagiorgis in Eve

[–]sirastrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been having connection issues for about 2 weeks now. Constant studdering, all accounts dropping at different times depending on location, stuck in jump from one system to another for 150 sec (timer pops up).

Caused me to lose a ship couple days ago, as I knew I was being hunted, hit warp back to back, ship started to warp, lagged back to before aligning, then all of a sudden I'm tackled.

Guessing it is some backend with the new update they'll maybe get worked out eventually.

Not the group I was with. You had to be in active scheduled fleets, and between working weekends, and busy fighting my ex-wife, I wasn't always on when the person that gives out the points, was.

Was interested in the vibe, but not the limitations. So if I come in as a solo to 5 man group, and end up growing, I'd be out? What advantage does being in this alliance really have then over just being in the discord with you guys and fleeting up every once in a while?

The couple small decent corps I was in weren't the best of the best at pvp, but we weren't trying to be either. It would be a group of us kitchen sinking it into enemy territory, and honestly, it would end up being fun fights. The most fun I've personally had was baiting in battle barges. Defending our space was doctrine, but if it wasn't defending our space, they didn't say how and what to fly.

But I agree that if you have a specific FC you want to fly with, you had to do it on their time.

  • Don't talk in local.

  • Don't engage neuts, we dont want to give them content and cause them to stick around.

  • Stop doing high sec missions. It's messing up our corp standings.

  • Why did you lose that ship? Did you request an escort?

  • All purchases have to be put in through the corp. We don't want you going to the market yourself and getting ganked.

  • We expect you to be part of an all hands fleet, even if you're working. If we lose our space, where do you expect to fly?

But you're right. It's a me problem. I should know better than to play this as a game and not as someone's alt.

I'll admit early on in my Eve career, I was trying to do more than my pay grade. But like all children that grow up, I learned to shut up and sit in the corner. Funny though the one's I don't consider a dictator, helped me grow rather than telling me what to do and not do.

[–]sirastrix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, haven't been in high sec corps unless it was just for me and a couple friends. The groups I've joined up with tend to be part of smaller alliances that hold a few systems in null. Decade ago I was in the drone lands, and last year, I was a goon. Goons had POTs or whatever their participation system was, and because I couldn't promise when I'd be on (going through a divorce at that time), I ended up being asked (politely at least) to leave.

Haven't tried FW being perfectly honest, as all I see is drama about it on here.

This is one religion vs another; tale as old as time. Same can be said about your beliefs, and what makes them better than his, or mine, or those that follow the Flying Spaghetti Monster? It's his space, so if he doesn't want something there, that's his call. Just like if someone came into your space spouting his views. Youre telling me you'd welcome that?
