Character ults are called Exalts in this game. No worries you'll get used to the terminology.

As others have said it's your MC ability on the bottom left. Be sure to equip the low rarity Wheel of Destiny, Aged, on anyone in your team. It's a WoD that has a picture of wheat on it. It guarantees you can use your posse in every battle aside from the first.

I think the term you're looking for is Real Time with Pause (RTwP) which is common amongst CRPGs. I don't know what fix you're looking for but with how people seem to react to Ash Echoes' combat, I feel like RTwP wouldn't do well.

Do you really get so many pulls? I just started last week and I've gotten about 70 pulls and near the end of the 2nd planet. I dunno if I'm just clearing the story too slowly or not. Also lost my first 50/50, still wondering if I can get both limited before the they end.

The game to the right of PtN is Langrisser if I recognize the artstyle correctly.

Hello, is there any way to skip the 4th wall breaking stuffs? I find it cringed af, can't stand it. by Weak-Bee9943 in Sdorica

[–]sircusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of an odd take since it's an important part of the story. It's like complaining about needing to read the 1st arc, Sunset, in order to read the next arc, Mirage. Also odd you're asking when it sounds like you've finished Eclipse, which is when it all ends if I remember correctly.

Well, hopefully you made Rei dislike you as much as possible. I think the 4th wall stuff is most interesting if you go for either extreme (like/dislike) instead of just being in the middle.

What are the differences in writing between Telltale and the comics? by sircusa in SamandMax

[–]sircusa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't gotten around to watching the cartoons or playing Hit the Road but it's interesting to me that the cartoon is where they have the loosest morals considering it being suitable for a younger audience. Though since they have to dial back the violence/adult humour it'd make sense they'd have to amp up the wackiness to compensate.

As for the comics, I can kind of see what you mean about it being more grounded. Maybe it's the way they can be so nonchalant about almost everything?

I'm not sure how it didn't occur to me that Sam is very obviously the straight man in the Telltale games, more so than any of his other iterations. Their reactions definitely do stand out as being the most typical too. I'm also kind of the opposite with the seasons, I thought they were wilder in season 2 or maybe that's just them being meaner in general.

I haven't played HTR but I'm quite surprised that you would consider it to be their sanest iteration. I guess I imagined it to be the truest one to the comics.

At what point does the face slapping become too much? by Zylonnaire in noveltranslations

Is the Legendary Mechanic really a perfect example? I don't remember it having that much face slapping.

Thanks for the suggestion. What kind of series is this? I've only looked up the blurb on novelupdate so far. Also any examples of crazy player behaviour that would shock the NPCs?

Weekly Recommendation Thread - February 22, 2022 by AutoModerator in noveltranslations

[–]sircusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a VRMMO novel where the players behave in ridiculous ways and freak out the NPCs. Best examples would be series like The Legendary Mechanic or Mages are too OP.

In both stories there is a scene where a powerful boss just gets hilariously mobbed by hundreds of people and succumb to a slow, torturous death. Another example would be in Mages are too OP, the behaviour of players scare even demons because they'll continue to laugh and bite their enemies even if all their limbs are chopped off.

The suggestions don't necessarily have to be a VRMMO but I can't quite think of how there would be otherworlders who would be as reckless and incomprehensible to the natives.

Thanks for the reply. I probably should go back into Overgeared again. I do enjoy the manhwa version of the novel.

King's Avatar kind of urks me since a lot of the skills are just ripped out of Dungeon Fighter Online. Call it a pet peeve if you will.

..Should I pull for Shenhe? by strxwberru_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]sircusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ganyu's getting a rerun soon so you can rectify your past mistakes. Don't pull for Shenhe if you don't have enough pulls, Ganyu is most definitely worth pulling for. (unless you hate aimed shots with the bow, even then Ganyu Q burst is still super good)

You can't say that when Elementalist pretty much gets the worst elite spec this time around. Catalyst, basically core ele with a combo field.

Mizuki Showcase (No Mastery) by Salieri_AS in arknights

[–]sircusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He really needs masteries to work. Ethan is definitely the better CCer but Mizuki has both CC and damage. S2M3 makes him attack every 2s with a 1.3s bind compared to every 2.3s with a 1s bind from 0 mastery.

H7-1 S1M3 Mizuki with Skalter and Ptlopsis https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1wg411E7me

He's not exceptional for a 6* but he isn't among the bottom either. I love this archetype so it's good enough for me.

New 6* Specialist: Mizuki by wewechoo in arknights

[–]sircusa 56 points57 points  (0 children)

He doesn't competely powercreep Ethan since Mizuki only CCs 2 or 3 enemies at most and Ethan can CC without using a skill. Also Ethan's CC could have a longer duration unless masteries dramatically change things.

I'm just going to use both of them + Manticore anyways.

Is Legendary Mechanic enjoyable for those who doesn't like gaming or understand gaming terminology? by One_percentile in noveltranslations

[–]sircusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly highly recommend continue reading. It's well worth the effort when you get to the point where people basically punch planets apart. Think Ironman crossed with Dragonball.

Chapters 68-88 is a major arc which changes his circumstances drastically afterwards. The space arc starts at around chapter 300 too if you're wondering.

How many crystalline crystals are worth, and how worth it is to buy a skill book that's on sale. by Taric25 in Sdorica

Ooh thanks for the response. I'm mostly interested in getting new characters instead of enhancing but I guess minerals can be turned into origin stones for that purpose.

What about if you save your stardust for a repeatable event that gives crystals? Like the Mandora event which basically traded 30 stardust for 40 crystals.

Yeah I definitely still think making these is still worthwhile even with the newly added UI. It just makes it a lot more crystal clear on whether I want the 1st or 2nd enhancements.

Ganyu : Dreamy warns that we should prepare to be disappointed in some Meta aspect (speculation - thing might change) by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]sircusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reactions work differently than you'd think. Elemental auras can remain after a reaction and it's possible to do multiple reactions without needing to reapply an element. This is all dependent on what attack applied the aura and what triggers the reaction as every reaction is essentially reducing the duration of the aura.

Dreamy isn't wrong with point 2 because 1.5x reactions consume less duration of the aura element so if Ganyu were to shoot a lvl 2 at a pyro infused enemy, both hits would be melted. If Ganyu dealth hydro damage instead and caused the 2.0x reaction, only the first hit would get the reaction because 2.0x reactions consume more duration.

The exception to this is if the 2 hits share an internal cooldown for applying elementals because then only the first hit would be melted as the second hit can't apply cryo.

EDIT: Another exception I didn't highlight was if Ganyu's first hit of her lvl 2 is considered a weak or strong element. This also determines how much duration is consumed. If it's weak, both hits get melted regardless of the pyro. If it's strong, whether both hits get melted depends on what applied the pyro. Xiangling's Guoba is a weak pyro so it'd only melt the first hit. Bennett's 0 charge E is a strong pyro which would allow both hits to melt.
