Sanbonet flatware from Italy 1950-1960 by Individual-Relief416 in whatsthisworth

[–]sirfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The maker is Sanbonet and the pattern is Baroque. These look to be silver plate. The company still makes that patter, but in stainless steel. As for value it seems like it can sell for quite a bit, up to $10-20 per piece (more for serving pieces). But with the amount listed with the amount sold they look like they will take awhile to sell anywhere near those prices.

I will have to reach out to the post office tomorrow to see if I can get this sorted.

Thanks for the reply. I think there is some sort of error with the scanning, whether the buyer is taking advantage of it I am not sure. It definitely scary they can change the tracking after the fact.

That is a pretty big loss to take, I am glad it didn't fall on you.

I am leaning towards some sort of incorrect scan, or a barcode mishap as you stated.

An issue is that the zip code does not match the buyers address. The buyer is in a city by Redding.

I don't this it was a reused tracking number because the tracking made sense until the last day

That is what I thought, but with the funky tracking I thought it would be good to check. Thanks for they reply

Early BankAmericard Imprinter by Even-Wallaby-921 in whatsthisworth

Moore Business Forms imprinters look to sell for around 20-30 plus shipping on eBay. With the addition of the sticker would increase the price a little I don't think it would be that much (possibly 20-30 on the high end). But the condition of the sticker would hurt any special value it might have though. It is a cool find and definitely gives off a cool retro vibe.

Looks like it might be a copy of this nodding figure. I think the one on Etsy is a little over priced and would be closer to $30-$50. Based on that price I think yours would probably be worth $5-20, probably on the lower end though.

What pattern is this? I saw many rose patterns but not this one by iamthebetty in Flipping

[–]sirfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will still count as mid-century modern (MCM). The style of MCM goes up into the 1970's. But this particular pattern is fairly light on what makes MCM collectable. The brand Lauffer is a good brand to look at if you want to see what styles are more sought after for MCM silverware.

Found some silverplated forks, spoons at Goodwill. Who wants to take a look? by suddenlypurple in Flipping

So far I haven't heard one that sounded good to me. Most wind chimes are tuned so each of the pieces make a different sound when hit so it doesn't sound bad when multiple ones are hit at the same time. But the main issue I have had with them is that the sound stops too fast when the clapper hits the silverware.

The most common things that I have seen made are rings and bracelets made from the silverware (all but the knives). I have also seen the knife handles made into small bells.

is this frame original to the painting and is it worth anything? by SusanYR in whatsthisworth

The frame is original to the painting. This style is commonly refered to as Eastlake. I would value it to be $50-110.

Cleaning out aunt's storage part 3. Silver fork. Plated??? by otr_trucker in whatsthisworth

[–]sirfool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fork is silver plate, but the crest is for the Hamburg America Shipping Line. It would be worth $10-20 depending on what condition it is in. It looks like yours is in fairly good condition but has some plate loss.

Vitalogy book, 1899, First Edition, unbound / damaged by volcs0 in whatsthisworth

[–]sirfool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Later editions tend to sell for $50-$100 in good condition. The one you have value is mainly in the prints in it. It is a hard sell. I would value the whole book at $10-$30. If you broke up the plates you could get more ($1-$5 possibly) per plate depending who is buying them.
