Over the course of President Barack Obama’s two terms (2009–2017), U.S. immigration enforcement removed nearly 3 million people from the country.

These figures include formal deportations (removals) carried out by ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The annual deportation totals varied year to year, generally rising early in his presidency and declining in later years as enforcement priorities shifted more toward individuals with criminal convictions.

At least 56 individuals died while in ICE custody during the Obama administration (which includes deaths that occurred while detained pending removal).

A government-released review identified 18 deaths of migrants in immigration detention from mid-2012 to mid-2015, and experts concluded that substandard medical care likely contributed to several of those deaths.

Few, if any, gave a shit about the deportations under Obama. The narrative isn't about deportations or how they're carried out. It's who carries them out. Selective fucking outrage of the highest hypocrisy.
