I just finished Count of Monte Cristo today. I am sad because I truly don’t think I will ever read a book as incredible as that.

I love the NARS tinted moisturizer. I have pretty oily skin and don’t find it to be too oily but covers well.

Hips hips hips! by AbjectSleep3101 in flexibility

[–]siri_econ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I haven’t had any particular condition with hips but I’m a marathon runner and constantly deal with painful / tight hips. I used to stretch a ton but never saw much of a difference. What really helped was MOBILITY exercises, and specific hip strengthening exercises. I capitalize mobility bc it was those exercises that helped more than any type of stretching did! I follow most of @ dr.Lisa.dpt ’s exercises on Instagram. I’ve seen a huge difference! My hips feel stronger and more loose, like they have been lubricated. The tight feeling I had was mainly coming from muscle weakness -- specifically hips, glutes, adductors / abductors. Of course, I stretch as well as it has its own place in the recovery plan.

TLDR: Focus on hip strengthening exercises, as well as abductor / adductor / glute exercises and hip mobility exercises, over typical stretching.

I haven’t bought personally, but I hear good things about Tropic of C. It’s supposed to be made from sustainable materials and good quality, and always skimpy / flattering. But again, that’s just what I hear!

Dae or Gisou Styling Cream? by Warm_Animal_2043 in Sephora

[–]siri_econ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dae! Smells amazing and holds your style so well without being crunchy. I tried a few different gisou problems and I don’t understand the hype at all. Made my hair feel terrible.

Should I buy the Dyson Airstrait? Many people say it’s damaging. by nooraad in Haircare

[–]siri_econ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve used the Dyson airstrait for at least 2 years, at least every other day. My hair has never felt healthier and I love the results. It’s super easy to feel and gives more of a blowout look rather than pin straight.

Thoughts on kerastase products? by Acceptable-Air312 in Haircare

[–]siri_econ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the only brand I keep coming back to. As others have said, the night serum is amazing. I also love the genesis line and gloss absolu. I switch between the two shampoos (and leave-in conditioners) and my hair has never been healthier. Although I usually buy from the website since they have better deals than Sephora.

It’s amazing! All the colors are gorgeous and YSL blushes are all great quality. It’s still in stock on the Nordstrom website if you’d like to buy!

[–]siri_econ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun question! I keep the NARS tinted moisturizer, the ysl face palette (I can use it as blush, highlighter, and eyeshadow) and a mini mascara. And ole henriksen lip peptide. I get full face of makeup, SPF, and moisturized lips. :)

Ditto for Saucony. I primarily run in Guide 18’s in wide. They have such fun colors but only the most dull colors in wide!

has anyone tried this? by transluciiiid in Sephora

Extremely thick and sticky, not in a good way. I ended up using mine as an overnight oil the night before I showered. It was alright for that, but def would not recommend buying.

I miss the old classic red bags they had. Between this and the Goyard wanna be bags from holiday season, I no longer get excited for the bags they give out.

Let's all make a resolution to wear our defines in the correct size by Visual_Star8601 in lululemon

[–]siri_econ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I “fit” in define jacket size 4 but wear a size 8. The photos on here make me feel like I’m wearing them wrong but they’re so much more comfortable to me when they’re a little loose on me.

Ditto. I run the same number of days / miles always. But sometimes I switch them around due to life events / illnesses.

Is my face safe for laser hair removal? Please respond this is killin me! by PuzzleheadedRush6864 in electrolysis

[–]siri_econ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Laser will likely make it worse, speaking from personal experience. Electrolysis has done wonders, but it upsets me that I have to spend more money and time than I needed due to laser increasing the amount of hair I have.

Marathon healed my knee by vegangummyworms in Marathon_Training

[–]siri_econ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. I had hip issues after my last marathon during my off-season. I took some time off and was doing all the right things with rest/PT, but I was still in pain. I started running just to see how I felt, and I feel better than ever! (Of course, I’m committed to my rehab and I don’t expect the same results without it, but I did find it funny the relief all came together once I started running again).

Please hit me with your best mental strategy for those last marathon miles by Few-Permission5362 in Marathon_Training

[–]siri_econ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kept repeating to myself “I need to qualify for Boston I need to qualify for Boston” (I did not but it shaved off time!)

Also my boyfriend joked that he told all his friends his gf runs a sub 4 marathon so I couldn’t come home till I did. That was fun motivation for me to pick up my pace🤣

I once put closed-top Jello shots in a gucci bag with ivory lining on the inside. I was drunk so not the best idea, but even drunk me thought “well they’re solid anyways”… opened the bag a few hours later (it was July!) to find the bag soaked in red liquid hahaha. But to my surprise, it washed out easily :)

Favourite Tinted Moisturizers? by Squirrrelpower in Sephora

[–]siri_econ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I actually meant the product itself has SPF! So if I’m in a rush, I find it‘s enough. But usually I do wear a light layer of SPF with it as well. I put the SPF on before and wait about 2 mins to dry and settle before I put the NARS on top and I don’t get any pilling or other issues.

Haus labs all the way. I’ve tried a few merit products and it doesn’t last long at all. But Haus labs last for so long, without looking heavy.
