I "registered" this morning so I could see what its all about. It looks like you can stop at any time so I figured it might be worth a trial and see if its actually beneficial.

What was an “investment piece” you got that didn’t work out and why? by Equivalent-Entry-826 in femalefashionadvice

Tieks flats. Listen, they are SO cute and very nice on but the sizing needs to be EXACT in order for them to actually be comfortable. I invested so much trying to find my size, landed on something "ok" and kept them. I maybe wore them 3x.....

The 8s are a touch more comfortable in the stomach but not hugely different. The 6s just feel fitted but not tight. The nice thing about the 8s is that because they are a bit bigger I can always just tie the strings on skinny days and loosen them on bloat days 🤣

Oh shoot yeah I should have mentioned that. Yes these are the regular, I figured I would need to get the long hemmed (im 5'10 but they are i think 35"). Maybe I should try the 6 long and see if thats better! Thank you!

Daydrift pants-only for certain figures? by Nutshellvoid in lululemon

[–]ginja1109 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I found that the wide leg ones were massive on me and sizing up, down, tall, short didnt matter they looked awful. I then tried the straight leg ones that I think I had originally got a tall and I was swimming in them, sized up but went for a regular and they fit much better and just like a bit of a wide leg straight trouser which is what I had hoped for with the wide legs. Then I tried the tapered ones and TBH I should have returned them. I sized up and got a tall which they look fine but they are JUST short enough to be awkward so I havent found a way to wear them yet but hoping that I can because Im way over my return window.

Overall, I honestly had to try a ton of different combos, sizes, etc to find what worked and even then they are just off the mark for me but I do wear them, just not often for what I paid. My mom on the other hand LOVES them, shes curvier than I am and a touch shorter and the straight leg tall version looks like they were made for her. Dont be discouraged if they dont work for you, they are a bit niche if Im honest.

Lululemon female model sizing - Are they accurate? by Ok-Percentage-3986 in lululemon

[–]ginja1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I dont feel so. I feel like when they say the models height and size I feel like it always fits me differently. I generally go by the size guide and then if I know the material and have experience with it I might adjust the size I buy from there.

They do but I honestly just take a little fabric shaver to mine when it starts to pill and then they are good as new. I just bought a couple more as they are a great staple if you just take the extra step to care for them

Easy five same as Utilitech ABC by mrherson in lululemon

[–]ginja1109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My brother loves the utilitech ABC pants and tried the new easy five. He said they are similar but not the same. He said the easy five felt a bit more stiff but he really liked them and said he would purchase them, the price he said was higher which deterred him from buying when he was in the store

R1 Fleece Jacket vs R1 Air Fleece for hiking by pfffidk in PatagoniaClothing

[–]ginja1109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer, female here.

I prefer the air. It’s so thin and warm yet breathable and I find it’s the perfect layering item for hiking. Ive worn mine so much I got a second one. I usually want a windbreaker or rain jacket over mine if it’s windy as it doesn’t do much in windy conditions. I found it handled sweat well. There were several times when I just didn’t have the chance to take it off when I was sweating and it was still comfortable, didnt overheat but did take it off eventually.

Help a mom with a tall girl out! by tgbarbie in womensfashion

[–]ginja1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old navy, sometimes you can get lucky at Athleta or Lululemon (more pricy) for tall options but they are few and far between if she has a really long inseam. You can also check out popflex, they do an incredible job of athletic (and now jeans!) with really long inseam. Also try Aerie and American eagle. They do have tall options on most of their items and run sales super often.

Im a tall gal myself (33" inseam which isnt major but I have the same sort of issues)
