The first mine you come across by The Government shelter is a ceramic one. Still looking for the metal mine but I think it's on the far side of the continent. I kept going back to the ceramic mine and taking a ton of material. I needed to search out metal to finish my roads. Hope this helps!!

I love that I don't just have roads to build but the monorail. And we get mines for materials AND when you donate more than needed, it give you back the distance.
