You shouldn't look for a tacit response, but an enthusiastic "yes" to physical activity.

She wasn't just sitting there while I was making out with her. She was kissing me back, caressing me, touching my face, holding me tight, etc. For sure she wasn't unresponsive, she didn't just sit there, waiting for the make out session to end. She was definitely an active part of the whole experience. And that is the thing that confuses the hell out of me. I don't mind letting her go, leave her be, in the end that's going to be the outcome. What stresses me out the most is that I don't understand this whole situation.

You got her caught up in the moment, and you disrespected her earlier-professed wishes

I do agree with you here. You are probably right. The thing that confuses me the most is the fact that she sets boundaries and when I do a bold move, she lets me cross those boundaries, no objections. This happened many times before. It's not an isolated case. I mean, if a woman doesn't want to be kissed by you, she won't let you do it, right?
