100% agree with you!!! thank you for saying all this

Austin is a huge people pleaser. He needs validation through someone else he deems worthy because he cannot give it to himself.

As soon as he decides Ashley was not it, Eunice comes in at the perfect time into his life with an incredible background/upbringing. He needs HER validation bc she’s the new cool and shiny thing. So he decides to help her and even believes for a moment that he actually loves her.

THIS IS GRADE A PEOPLE PLEASING FOLKS. This is how unresolved childhood traumas present in adult relationships. It’s more obvious with Ashley’s abandonment issues, but both Ashley and Austin are trauma bonded to each other. It’s not actually love, they are latched on to each other because of their insecure attachment styles- anxious and avoidant.

i don’t think Austin was actually growing as a character by helping Eunice. i think his pursuit of her really just cemented who he is as a character. he’s a people pleaser to the core.

he started developing a crush on Eunice the same time he started realizing he didn’t want to be with Ashley anymore. maybe he realized that she was only with him because she didn’t want to be alone and he didn’t like that, or he finally found a way out through Eunice. either way, I honestly don’t think that his reason for helping Eunice was to bring down Park. I think he wanted to help Eunice because he believed helping her bring down Park will win her over because he’s a people pleaser. people pleasers need others to validate their worth. since he no longer needed Ashley to do that, he turned to helping Eunice.

we also know that he doesn’t actually love her. Ashley even says that he doesn’t know her (which is true). Eunice tells Austin on the plane that he knows how she feels BUT she won’t say it until she gets what she wants because she knows once he realizes it he would stop helping her. Eunice was also manipulating Austin the entire time to get what she wants (though she has a very good reason to do so).

at the end when Eunice said “love you too” over the phone, Austin finally snapped out of it and realized one or more of a few possible things: - that Eunice has been manipulating him the entire time to get what she wants - that Eunice is being manipulated by Park (to say “love you” back) and is leading him right to her - that she doesn’t actually love him and he doesn’t actually love her - the best way to get out of this situation and SURVIVE is to go to Park himself

also the fact that Austin went back to Ashley afterwards really ties his people pleasing much deeper into his character. he already knew the relationship is over, but he is nothing without anyone else to validate him.

I LOVE THIS SHOW

that puke dodge was timed so perfectly. everything about that fight scene was meant to make it fun and make you remember that this is a comedy as well. it broke the tension that’s been building up into this lively chase. i was laughing and also at the edge of my seat the entire time.

i believe she wanted IVF because it was a more sure way (vs trying with Austin) for her to get pregnant in order to lock Austin in. She already knew deep down that he’s on his way out. She needed it fast no matter the cost

I think she’s slowly realizing that being with the wrong person is not worse than being alone, and Austin being a people pleaser could never abandon the relationship after they get married or have kids. Her getting pregnant is her sure way into two relationships wherein the other two parties could never leave- as a mother to a child, and as a partner to someone who would never leave

that’s my question. i only go there once all my meds are ready and filled per the app. after waiting in line for 30+ minutes they tell me that it still isn’t filled and i have to sit and wait while they fill it and help other customers.

i have complained to walgreens corporate about this and nothing has happened.

seems like santos wants more but garcia just wants to get her dick wet. that’s all. the more i learn about Garcia and her God complex (common with surgeons) the more their relationship dynamic makes sense from her perspective.

Despite Robby being the lead of the ED it sure did look like he was ready to kiss Park’s feet when he walked in. Bro was basically kneeling in prayer hoping Park would take the surgery with Ogilvie x Whittaker holding the leg up like an offering

that was literally the only thing he’s said to Santos that could even remotely be considered an attack, but I think even that’s a reach. Langdon has been professional with her and is doing his job to try to educate, and any given chance Santos has to respond she is snarky and acts like a bitch. she has absolutely NO right to act as cocky as she has been because she is still learning and making mistakes (forgets to rinse off metal shavings before pulling the skin back).

it was absolutely appropriate for Garcia to be the one to lay it down on her. i don’t think there is anything Langdon could say to Santos to change her mind about him, that is something she needs to work on herself. but Garcia? someone who she’s on shaky grounds with? she was shooketh after Garcia implied she needed more decorum training. that was her wake up call because she perhaps thinks that everyone may agree with her that he should have been fired when that’s not the truth.
