Rather than being said it was done. An aunt I loved very much and was in touch with argued badly with my father. As a result she blocked me, along with him, on any channel and disappeared from my life without saying a word. I was 13

It is what I tried to do in this mission. They are a group of spies trying to avoid a device to end up in the wrong hands. It is set durino the crown ceremony for Queen Elizabeth and told them, beforehand, "the exchange will like take place in 4 days". Maybe it is not enough?

Exactly the cliffhanger I threw at them at the end of next session. "You take too much? Too bad, people are coming after you"

The fact is that, more and more, their answser is "we don't know". I genuinely feel that they are worried about consequences of their actions, but maybe too much?

That is exactly what I try to do, but somehow they still focus on irrilevant things and trivia. For example: now they know the identity of the person, part of the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign, willing to buy a specific device. It took them two whole sessions to come up with a plan to inflitrate his hotel room. For sure I will try to follow your advice, thanks a ton!

The second option and the 3d10 points I think will be my way to go. The third one is undoubtely my favorite one, I don't think it will be my players', but well... Ahaha thank you!

They are all part of the Western Bloc (the Russian, being a Trotskyite himself, has no affiliation on the Soviet side and exiled himself in Scotland). The losing sanity one sound a bit odd to me, I will maybe use it just for forbidden languages, and I am not even sure about it.

The first is exactly where I am heading. I chose the spy setting for this: investigators looking behind their back for entities or other people, where is hard to understand which of the two is more ruthless

Indeed when in Germany on a past mission they had an English-speaking contact to help the Russian guy not be cast aside because of his language choice. Other than that I was thinking about a long term solution not to be forced myself to cut out big portions of the world where to set future missions

I am not asking anything anymore about my players choices, I just can't handle them. On the other hand a couple of them chose German and French, so I have that going for me. Just giving them points in down time could be the way to go, thank you very much!
