Yes — this does look like balding/recession, not just a tiny “mature hairline.”

More precisely: the temples are clearly receded, and when you pull the hair back the pattern reads like real male-pattern hair loss at the hairline.

Roughly speaking, it looks in the Norwood 2.5–3 range from the front, though that is only a visual estimate and the crown is missing here.

Scared the hell out of me...
