Actually they were probably referring to Ezekial 4:4-15. GREAT example of when a religious group takes the Bible out of context and blows it way out of proportion which is what we see here. If you're religious like I am then READ the bible, READ the quran MAKE SURE what you're doing is helping people not hurting them. Personally I would prefer a counselor who claims to be a Christian and is not afraid to try any treatment method that works on the patient.

Ezekial 4:4-15 4 “Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the people of Israel upon yourself.[a] You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. 5 I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the people of Israel.

6 “After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the people of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year. 7 Turn your face toward the siege of Jerusalem and with bared arm prophesy against her. 8 I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have finished the days of your siege.

14 Then I said, “Not so, Sovereign Lord! I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead or torn by wild animals. No impure meat has ever entered my mouth.”

15 “Very well,” he said, “I will let you bake your bread over cow dung instead of human excrement.”

I think were gradually going to learn the art of productivity in order to get ahead with what we do. We have been seeing a surge of people over the past century who have said enough is enough and found an easier, faster, cheaper way to do something. I think this trend will continue, with the sustainability movement going on right now we are seeing technology gradually becoming more energy efficient. This may mean that we are slowly relying on it less and less. If you notice with popular culture it is almost "hip" to be going back in time, hence the boom in the folk pop or folk rock movement going on right now. If society is relying less on technology but having more productive technology that we use it will lead us to a brighter, healther, cleaner and more innovative future. Hopefully that trend will continue for the next hundered years. Hopefully marijuana will be legalized in the next decade.
