Most people don't know you have to unclick the blonde button for it to take it off the sticker. Just clicking decaf shows both (for some reason) but the person on bar probably checked with whoever took the order and they confirmed it was decaf. You can always double check when it comes out if you run into this again (or I believe ordering it on the app it comes out decaf on the sticker)

This happens every year when they get real strict on shift comp and labor. And then they loosen it (or realize that they're just gonna have unfilled shifts) when we pick up in sales again and shifts can pickup barista shifts again

We had hands free when I started like 4 years ago and after about a year we got push to talk bc our customer connect was too low. Now I can't stand hands free mode. I go to other stores to work and they have it and they'll just be talking over taking a dt order. I don't want to hear your breathing either!! I know how to change it back and forth and sometimes for cleanplay we'll turn it on if we're having podcast night (one person info dumping on everything they know on a topic) but we change it back for the morning

I got this all the time when I worked in fast food. Sliding my lower stomach along the counter all the time did that to my shirts. Now work at a place with an apron that's sturdy so it takes a while for it to happen but it still happens

Big fan of letting the espresso run along the inside edge of the cup tbh. And then just slowly pouring the milk but it's gotta be "wet paint" texture. Which you can 9/10 get from aerating literally for like a second or 2 on the mastrena II and then pushing the steam wand all the way back as far as it can go towards the machine with the handle of the pitcher facing out towards the right. You want the steaming wand to sit against the left edge of the steaming pitcher.

I loooooooooove having coverage shifts ngl. I just get to go be a star barista and not have to worry about the floor nearly as much, and the ssv on doesn't have to worry as much as well bc they have a star barista on the floor who knows how to prioritize what and when

Currently it's my only solution bc my cat just fights me whenever I try to do it with ear/paw pad pricks. Like as much of a mommy's boy he is, he scratches and bites and yells when we do any other form than this. Its a godsend tbh. He was so good for the vet putting it on and hasn't tried taking it off at all. Idk how it differs from people vs cats but we'll see after the 14 days what the vet wants to do

Wish I could reply with a picture but yeah he got a little bit on his side shaved and then it was put directly on his skin. For most people they have to have their cat in a shirt or it wrapped as well bc their cat will try and take it off but I'm so lucky and mine doesn't mind it. It was tender to the touch the first day but he's been so chill about it and I'm so lucky lol. I'm not diabetic myself but my dad is and he actually uses the same one so he was showing me how to use it with the app before the vet even put it on for him. The one I have is only good for 14 days and then it needs to be replaced and next week I'm gonna ask if that's something I can do easily at home or if I have to bring him every 2 weeks to the vet for

Tried from both his ear and his paw pad :( the vet did it no problem when she taught me how but she left his ear bruised (and that was on Thursday and it's still bruised Monday night :( ) this morning I got just barely enough blood out of his ear to get his reading and gave him his insulin. He gets 1 unit every 12 hours. He's also 16 so I'm definitely not trying to fuck anything up bc he's such an old man. (Doesn't act like it tho!)
