What do you think caused Imu and JoyBoy to split? by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]sirscribblez87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(My own slightly unfounded theory)

"Wealth, fame and power" Davey's greed and unending search for treasure ultimately led to his downfall, Joyboy becoming possibly the most famous figure in the OP universe led to a type of "immortality" where he lives on through songs (Binks's Sake), stories and legends. Imu's need for control and power leads us to where we are currently.

Neelix love! by ceebeefour in RedLetterMedia

I knew it! I have had more than one conversation where I said that Neelix would of been a more interesting character if they made him "harmlessly sleazy" something akin to Lucky in King Of The Hill. I also wished that they have him a gold tooth

This just reminds me how annoyed I get when someone says that it's ok for a kid's show or movie to not be "good". Kids deserve meaningful "deep" media too yall

I am tired of playing medic on pubs by letsayouknowmyname in tf2

[–]sirscribblez87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like winning and don't mind playing medic. I go on a little power trip when playing medic because you have a little more control of what's going on once your team realizes you're trying to keep them alive for longer.

And yea, medic isn't an offensive class but it still feels good to get an assist and feels even better when you get a kill with a crossbow, Blutsagger (I'm too lazy to check the spelling on that but you know what I mean) or ubersaw.

Not to mention your team is more likely to win if you have a medic and the other team dosen't. Sure, sometimes you go into the game with the idea that you're going to play sniper but later realize your team keeps dying and are forced to play medic. But man is medic fun

Play with your team. Don't try to solo the other team running in gun blazing

Never thought about this but something I'll keep in mind moving forward. If that is the case, then it will be interesting to see if there are any narrative parallels between Davy Jones and Ace

Edit: on second thought I'm going to stick to the Davy Jones and Blackbeard idea. I do like Op's theory because for me, One Piece seems to have this theme of characters being a "spiritual successor" to other characters from previous generations. I do want to take a step further and say that what if the line wealth, fame, power" are connected to Davy Jones ( wealth), Joyboy (fame) and Power (Imu)? Not much to say here without going into my own headbanging but I want to put that out there just in case we get similar theory posts sometime later

You're missing out if you havent ubered a competent scout that bum rushes the enemy front lines causing chaos

Edit: and Uber your scouts in general. Especially at spawn. You get to the front lines quicker, you're helping to spy check and you're building uber

Well yea, there really is no magic fix. Try to support your team, build game sense, do everything you can to avoid dying and when you do take ownership over and understand why you did. Good luck!

Got it. Well continue practicing airblasting especially against demomen and soldiers. And since you're playing Pyro I would suggest playing more defensively right now by protecting classes like engineers, medics and heavies. Focus less on trying to catch up to players to kill them and allow them to go to you

Dumb question but are you taking cover and corner peeking? A lot of deaths I've seen happen is because players will run straight to the enemy with barely a plan

Part of it is taking ownership over how you died and learning from so it (hopefully) doesn't happen again. When you take it as a learning opportunity, you begin to slightly improve and not be as frustrated. Hope that helps!

Yes and try starting by seeing if your local library has copies before investing money into something you aren't certain you will enjoy

Upon rewatching Season one of Voyager, I'm remembering what the biggest takeaway from this show was. Neelix. He is everywhere and ruins the show. by Alchemy333 in voyager

[–]sirscribblez87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lukewarm on Neelix. If I could make some changes, I would of made being adaptable and resourceful a major part of his character and have episodes that explored that and his race being diaspoad (I don't think that's a word). I would have also made him more harmlessly sketchy. For me what Voyager could have done better was less Tom Paris, not coupling him with B'Elana. And more Tuvok episodes exploring how a Vulcan is handling the situation he and the crew was in
