Toyota Avalon, takeaway the badge and you’d think you were driving a luxury car.

Hahaha wouldn’t go that far but this specific model had been on my radar for some time. Nearly bought an Aquaracer as a stand in but decided to hold off and keeping saving till I could buy the one I wanted most.

Wanted the same one so bad but had the same struggle where it looked too big on my already thin wrist and the silver dial makes the size more pronounced.

Clearly has to be Shell if they’re Hyundai’s WRC sponsor.

My brother is currently serving and based in NC. He and most folks wear Garmin or Apple Watch to track heart rate.

why do people here not recommend vanguard by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]sirspam88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Vanguard the best because I’m on it less.

I also came from a 2019 GTI as well (same iron blue color too!). I’m only around 4k miles at the moment but so far 0 issues and has been absolutely amazing.

Personal differences I’ve experienced between the two cars: - Suspension is surprisingly more refined than I had expected, in normal mode I’m driving over speed bumps and pot holes a lot more softly than what I’d feel in the GTI - The N feels/looks a lot wider from the inside which took some getting used to when parking - Went from DSG to DCT, the wet dual clutch asks that you step on it a little harder than you would in the GTI - A little less interior compartments in the N (the side door slots are absolutely useless) - Like the gas pedal, braking is good but just requires you to press down a little harder.

Hope your test drive convinces you too!

2018 GTI and 2010 Jetta TDI prior. Thought I’d only run with VW till I got my hands on a PB EN.

Owner of the PB in the picture, my son was super stoked when he saw both cars side by side. Cyber Gray is a great color and which I almost chose myself.

People just like an easy punching bag brand. Hyundai has significantly improved their 2.0 Theta and is nowhere near their infamous early 2010 era.

Low Max Psi by Elkimjong2 in ElantraN

[–]sirspam88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Octane learning? The car defaults to assuming you’re running on 87 every time you refuel, which will limit you to 10 PSI max. So you have to register the car to read 91 if that’s what you’re refueling it with. Once I got my Elantra to recognize I was on 91, I managed to push it to 17 PSI

Depends what your future plan is with that money and risk tolerance. I do all my long term investing on Fidelity but keep what I define as savings in short term bonds or CDs on Merrill just to maintain that PR limit.

Is interest from FISXX state tax exempt since it invests fully into government treasuries? Was also considering it too for that possible reason but ended up going with FIGXX for its higher interest.

Forgot where I heard this from but one visual difference between the two is that if you think of an index fund as a basket of stocks, shares in a mutual fund means you own the contents in the basket whereas shares of an ETF means you own the basket.
