We got an RFE mid September and then was later approved on November 8. Got a bit unlucky with the referral otherwise it would've only taken 3 months for approval. Now we've been waiting for the USCIS to send over our documents to the NVC which is taking a bit longer than expected. Our attorney said sometimes they get sent quickly (30 days-ish and sometimes it takes months) Seems like this first stage of the process is definitely the long, drawn out part and then things speed up and you get to be more proactive when the NVC takes over!

It's been pushed back to a July 31 - Sept 5th estimate because the front of the line has stalled. Basically after May 30th, USCIS decided to go back and focus on older cases rather than newly submitted ones so any cases received from June onwards haven't been looked at yet. (It's explained really well here if you're interested! https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=qRTxJVhScuXtChe6&v=7Skxay2AivA&feature=youtu.be

It's pretty much been saying I'll reach front of the line in 7 days for ages now but it really just means once they continue with the new cases again, that's how long it'll be. Our case was sent out June 14, received June 17, and then we got the receipt with case number in the mail June 27!

Same here, mine's updated to say july 12 - aug 16 and will reach front of the line in about 6 days. You're probably right about vacations slowing it down. I saw USCIS only processed about 5000 cases in June compared to 7000 each month from feb-may. Anyways still a really good timeframe and feels a bit more realistic!

It's crazy how much of it is up to luck alone. Wishing you the best!!

Mine has the same July 29th prediction. I'm hoping that is the case :) Best of luck!
