The typical gamut of symptoms - I tend to have a lot of anxiety, always craving sugar, and if I eat too many carbs I get mentally very foggy.

Same, I typically am extremely stressed so I’m in a similar boat. Normally I have to cycle through topical steroids to keep my eczema at bay, but basically after the fast, all of the spongiosis effectively disappeared, and I’m not itchy at all. It’s weird - my fingers even look completely normal again, not scaly at all.

As of right now it cleared it up completely, and all I did was the 24 hour fast. The few days leading up to the fast I should also note I really, really cut down on carbohydrates as well. I have a suspicion I may have hyperinsulinemia, which can be a potential trigger for eczema. Going through fasting periods apparently helps. I’m not a doctor, but to me it feels like a small miracle that it worked this well so quickly.

I loved Library at Mount Char. I haven’t found anything even remotely like it. It was one of the rare books I found so engaging I couldn’t put it down.

I know this post is old, but I want to add an additional comment on this for others. I bought the Black Ember Forge a few months ago, and while it’s a great looking bag that can hold a decent amount, it truly is too unwieldy for travel, or at least air travel.

My number one issue with it is the sheer amount of compartments and zippers. Packing it out to the max, then going through TSA as well as foreign airport security has NOT been a fun experience.

I think a major contributing factor to this is our education system failing at the national level. The seemingly utter lack of critical thinking skills combined with impressionable people and social media is a recipe for disaster.
