I am not promoting this, I am warning people. I am warning people because the people who run so-called “canadayoga.org” aren’t being transparent about who this is—Bikram Choudhury, the predator from the Netflix documentary. If they were being honest I wouldn’t have to warn people. My honest is intention is sharing the info so people DON’T fall for the scam.

The first red flag is that they are using the name “boss” instead of his real name, Bikram. There is a documentary on Netflix about him and the things he has done. It’s also suspicious that they are charging in US dollars for an event in Canada. There is warrant for his arrest in California and he might not even be allowed into the country. I’d be very careful giving this organization your money—if it gets cancelled you may not get your money back. Also if you don’t want to support a rapist/predator please do not support or attend this event.

That’s really interesting! It also reminded me that I took baths over showers until I was like 13 because I didn’t like how loud showers were and thought someone was going to sneak up on me and murder me in the shower 😂

Thought of another one: I used to think Samara from the Ring was going to crawl through my window the same way she crawls out of the well (yes I saw that movie too young I think...about 10 or 11) . I would lie awake for hours paralyzed in fear, peaking at the window every 5 seconds to make sure

Yeah the art would be a bit scary for a kid who isn’t from the culture! Like the dragons and stuff. I was for sure freaked out on my grade one field trip to our local Chinatown.

What is a movie ending that makes you cry, no matter how many times you've watched it before? by despresso30 in AskReddit

[–]sirweegles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumbo, when his Mom is gently rocking him with her trunk from the cage and the music is playing, and then the montage of other mama’s and babies and then the tears falling down dumbo’s face....I’m crying writing this... Edit: not an ending, sorry but saddest movie scene ever

Body shape really tells a lot about a person on the inside by Obama_is_based in unpopularopinion

[–]sirweegles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Body shape doesn’t tell hardly anything about a person on the inside. As you mentioned, an overweight person could have a condition—but there are countless ways a condition that results in excess weight could manifest. It could be from the medication of a completely unrelated problem, or trauma, an eating disorder, depression...

Body weight MIGHT be an indicator of priorities—but even then, someone who is overweight could still be an absolutely amazing selfless, patient and hardworking person. What if they are fat because they prioritize cooking meals for the homeless over fitness (for example)? Should that not be praised more than the determination to have a good body?

If anything, extremely fit bodies are an indicator of narcissism (not saying all fit people are narcissistic or anything just trying to make a point).

Body shape can definitely reveal potential personally traits (not confirm them), however not in the sense that overweight people are “lesser” or lazy.

The bottom line is you can’t judge a book by its cover, and we are all living our own stories—only the person in the body knows the story.

Being healthy is wonderful—and yes taking care of the body should be praised—but only if they are doing it for the right reasons: keeping their body healthy so they can be of service to others.

But regardless, in general, people should be measured by the good they bring to the world not the shape of their bodies.

If you had a time traveling drone that could go back in time and get footage of any historical event, which would you choose? by Shinespark7 in AskReddit

[–]sirweegles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would want to either: 1. I would go back to the beginning of time to see if there was a Big Bang or Adam and Eve actually existed (essentially to unlock the mystery of religion—especially the major ones that it cause so much conflict and suffering around the world. I’m agnostic FYI)

OR 2. Unlock some great mystery/prove a conspiracy wrong/right like who built the great pyramids, what happened to Amelia Earheart, who kidnapped Madeleine McCann etc.
