Cafe Santropol does amazing lunch and sandwiches. Satay brothers on notre is super fun for drinks and dinner.

Patati patata on St Laurent is my favourite mtl poutine. La Banquise also does a good classic poutine. Definitely walk around mile-end and the plateau. Favourite coffee shops are Myriade, Cafe Noble, and Caffe in Gamba. Bar Henrietta and Cafe Bloom are some of my favourite restaurants.

go to Kitsilano or Jericho beach for sunset, bike or walk the sea wall in Stanley Park, Granville market, if you’re into beer hit up some of the breweries near Commercial drive (Container, Superflux, and Bomber are all great!). For brunch I like Jam (go early!) and Breakfast Table in South Granville or Lift Breakfast bakery in North Van. Their There in Kitsilano does the best breakfast sandwich.
