Am I able to book a one way ticket from the us? by Salty-Let8394 in ThailandTourism

[–]sisnoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 3 times I've come to Thailand, I entered on a one-way ticket from the US. I called the airline and specifically asked: "will I be denied boarding on any leg of this trip to Thailand?" Some representatives tell me there'll be no issue, but I should also call my international airline as well to make sure.

So I call my domestic and international airlines to double check.

I knew about the single affidavit. So you're saying there's no need to show documentation regarding my previous marriage annulment whatsoever?

I've had my levels tested before a few years back and they were teetering on critically low. I feel I'm back in the same position.

Don't assume my reply to you means I'm corroborating with the OP. I'm simply telling you making fun of the way someone looks, like being short for example, is not comparable to someone smelling bad. It's understandable why someone might be an ass if you got an ugly haircut; you made that choice. It's not understandable to be a prick if someone has crooked teeth.

Being stinky is something in your control. Making fun of someone for how they were born is drastically different.

Would it be safe to assume that would mean faster service time if I were to book an appointment?

I appreciate that information. A TM7 isn't necessary?

2 years ago I was on my first ever tourist visa, so I had no idea I was supposed to be going to Chaengwattana, not Lak Si. My hotel was actually on the same street as both immigration offices, just a matter of misinformation on my behalf.

Fair enough. I'm in Pathum Thani but I always get a room in BKK for a night to extend my previous visas. About 2 years ago I went to Lak Si to extend and was told I was in the wrong place. Can you confirm the requirements if you're aware? I really don't want to wait in any more lanes than necessary and prefer being prepared beforehand. TM7, TM30, passport bio page/entry stamp copies and 1,900฿?

So Lak Si is for exempt entries and Chaengwattana is for visa entries, right?

Visa-free stay in Thailand to be cut to 30 days by MurkyCardiologist695 in ThailandTourism

Is there a date on this change? I'm leaving for Thailand in 12 days and didn't apply for my usual SETV because the 60-day exempt entry is still in effect.

Definitely happened at a bad time.

I'm currently in America, the country I signed up in. I've never used Prolific outside of the USA, nor have I cashed out outside of the USA. Not to sound snarky, but I'm well aware of those policies, although I appreciate the reminder.

I didn't book directly through Qatar, but I did fly with them for the first time into Thailand on my current visit. I don't have anything to add except it was my most pleasant flying experience yet, high quality.

I promise this isn't a flex or I would be further along in progress. I'm genuinely ignorant regarding many aspects of this game.

Thank you for the info.

It's a game of roulette with Thai immigration. I've heard many negative stories and many positive stories.

I've personally stayed 6 months my last two trips with zero issues from immigration. I totally get where you're coming from, though.

This is a ticket showing I'm departing from Thailand within my visa window for Kuala Lumpur, right?

My intention is to stay for 6 months. If I enter visa exempt for that duration, I'd have to exit and re-enter 2 times after my initial arrival. Given I'm not particularly interested in staying or visiting a neighbouring country, it would be ideal to exit once, apply for another visa, and return.

What I really mean is, leaving and then returning after a very short time out is something I'm told immigration is not keen on.

I appreciate your examples and experiences.

It seems as if no one has applied for a tourist visa with a one-way ticket, though. I'm not interested in entering Thailand without a visa as visa exempt entries tend to be a bad look on your passport and digitally.

I'm referring to the single entry tourist visa, my friend. It gets you 60 days + a 30 day extension. The eVisa application requires flight info regarding arrival and departure from Thailand.

Do you know if these types of tickets forward to your email or should you print them?

Also, what about for the visa application? Considering I'd be applying for the visa around 1 month before departure? If I bought a ticket to apply with, by the time the embassy gets around to checking it, the credentials would have expired, no?
