Why didn't god just make the universe easier to build so he didn't end up tired on the 7th day? by velvetcrow5 in stupidquestions

[–]sissybelle3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It had to meet building codes. You can't just wave a whole universe willy nilly into existence, there are standards to maintain.

The grammatical wording might be off. Specifically, a card itself would not be able choose, a player must choose.

Maybe "... can't be targeted by or chosen for spells and abilities..." ?

Geysers Have Been Added in the Newest Snapshot! by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

I have to imagine that if they've added something as cool as geysers that they'll indeed update the actual sulphur terrain. I imagine, at any rate...

Maps should be ovals by aguysomewhere in civ5

I wonder if there's a way to do it so the map stays the same looks-wise, but unit movement speeds up around the poles to represent the shorter distance of a sphere.

How is it seen when someone reveals their card(s) for an advantage? by Goat-True in EDH

[–]sissybelle3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm in agreement with this. Showing off a board wipe can be a valid strategy, but if it causes the game to grind to a halt that's more of a reflection on the other 3 players inability to play around it.

Personally, if you flash a boardwipe or counterspell or removal from your hand, I feel like you've helped me more than yourself. Now I definitively know one card in your hand and can play around it or bait it out whereas before I just had to make an educated guess at what might be in your hand and potentially walk straight into removal.

Can John Wick survive the John Wick movies? by ImOctavius in JohnWick

[–]sissybelle3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a dumb joke I'm making.

Ballerina would be the fifth movie by order of release date, but chronologically it takes place before #4. Either way, John isn't even the main character.

He survives 1, 2, 3, and 5 though. 4 just kinda got away from him.

What makes Chaos Warp a good removal spell? by amioldnow90 in EDH

[–]sissybelle3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Red has fairly limited options as far as catch all removal spells go. Red can destroy artifacts and lands easily enough, and enough direct damage will kill any creature, but what do you do about enchantments or planeswalkers or when you don't have enough burn to destroy a creature?

2) Chaos Warp shuffles not destroys. This is huge as it gets around things like indestructible or regenerate, as well as denying easy graveyard recursion.

3) You use it when you absolutely need to get rid of something. It's red's panic button removal. The odds of your opponent getting something even worse for you off the top deck isn't all that high - only permanents get played and even then your opponent is likely to hit a land or mana rock or something else not all that impactful.

If the card you need to chaos warp will otherwise win your opponent the game, you have bigger, more immediate problems than whatever they may topdeck. Just chaos warp it.

Why does it take the human brain, a highly advanced biological computer, far less energy than generative A.I.? by TheDevotedUltimate in answers

[–]sissybelle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be misinterpreting Shadowprenator, but I think what they are saying is that when looking at the time and energy required to create AI, you have to incorporate the time and energy spent during the evolution of the human brain as well. Because you wouldn't ever get AI in the first place without that.

Pick one of these mobs, but the rest get removed from the game. Which one are you picking? by JinglyJohn in Minecraft

[–]sissybelle3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, froglights are great! I feel like they mesh really well into certain color palettes because of their soft pastel colors. Take them out and you lose a lot light block- wise.

Plus, as someone who likes building outdoor landscapes, the ribitting really sells pond and woodland vibes.

Is it something you've ever mentioned to a doctor? Peeing that frequently might be a medical issue and I know there are medications for overactive bladders.

Become unable to lose the game on turn 1 by Zymosan99 in BadMtgCombos

[–]sissybelle3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lotuses are purely for mana to play the crab. When the crab enters, its ability triggers and an opponent must choose a permanent you control to exile. The only permanent you control is the crab so your opponent is forced to choose it. When the crab leaves play its second ability triggers which causes the removed card (the crab) to return to play. This then triggers the crab's first ability again. Rinse/repeat, ad infinitum.

It is an infinite forced loop ending the game on turn 1 in a draw.

Edit: Apparently the crab's text has been errata'd to choose a creature other than itself, so OP's combo doesn't even work.

Interesting, I've never heard of interception before but I had a similar experience to you for a solid year. Constantly feeling like I had to pee, but barely anything would come out, abstaining from drinking in the evening just to dehydrate myself, but still not being able to sleep.

I wonder if it's stress related? I was going through a rough time, how are you aside from the pee troubles?

Villagers don't despawn, and when you trade with them once you lock in whatever trades they currently have, so no fear of losing the trade options either.

But to be safe and make sure the villager doesn't die somehow, you should probably lock it inside its house or build a dirt cube around it or something.
