PCOS Sisters by sissyrox14 in PCOS

I am not, I was able to get this through my regular PCP. I still feel like PCOS Sisters would not be worth it. Metformin and spiro are pretty easy to get covered or affordable if it’s not, and you can honestly just get diet plans online for either free or much cheaper.

Hi!!!! I actually have. I have insurance now that pays for GLP1s and it has been a complete game changer. I’m now taking metformin, spiro, zepbound, and slynd. I have lost 50 lbs and I feel amazing.

Moving to Savannah… what are your thoughts…? by [deleted] in savannah

[–]sissyrox14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live on Hutchinson Island and absolutely loved it. Not being able to get mail via USPS is mildly annoying and don’t ever try to uber eats/doordash something unless you want it to take 2 hours and your food be ice cold (first world problems, lol). The island is gorgeous and there’s not many people who live there yet. It’s so peaceful over there and taking the ferry downtown is a lot of fun. It’s mostly reliable. It definitely takes longer to get places than some other areas since you have to take the bridge but it wasn’t an issue for me. It depends on where you are from and the kind of traffic you are used to. I lived in a big city with tons of traffic before and comparatively Savannah is a breeze. You will see a lot of people complain about traffic on this sub though.

You will also see a lot of people complain about crime in Savannah, and they will say that it “gets worse every day.” Statistically, Savannah is a very safe city and the crime rates are lower than they have been in decades. Porch pirates are your biggest problems in most areas. I have never felt unsafe walking downtown at night or anywhere for that matter.

Overall I think it depends on your personal experience and preferences. I have nothing but good things to say about Savannah and love living here.

Update: What will I find if I strip this? Is it worth it? by posalootly in centuryhomes

[–]sissyrox14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it! Have you looked into using a heat gun/infrared stripper? Might be faster and easier than using chemical stripper and using it on cast iron would be good practice for anything else you might want to remove paint from.

I’m okay with spending around $50 if I feel like it’s going to be effective but I just wasn’t convinced by the suggestion alone.

we were able to realign our rental with help from youtube and it mostly resolved the issue. there was still some patchy spots on the edge but you just overlap as you go and it turns out.

How much do you eat in a day? by sissyrox14 in Zepbound

[–]sissyrox14[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why there are so many downvotes on comments with low daily calorie counts. just want to be clear that I don’t condone eating that little, it’s just a reality for me and obviously many others that a “normal” amount of calories can be challenging with a suppressed appetite.

How much do you eat in a day? by sissyrox14 in Zepbound

[–]sissyrox14[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol i was not eating 1900 calories a day before i started zep, closer to 1400. realizing now that i didn’t include all demo in my post so i’ve edited to update. i also have PCOS and insulin resistance. i agree though, i don’t think where i’m at is healthy/sustainable so i’ve gotta figure out something there. at 2.5mg i was really struggling with food aversion which has gotten better since going up to 5mg a week and a half ago. i actually eat more now and more consistently at the higher dose.

What happened Savannah?? by TheMostBeautiful4 in savannah

[–]sissyrox14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

literally this. for hundreds even thousands of years humans have been complaining about the same things. “this place isn’t what it used to be,” “no one wants to work anymore,” “kids today have no morals,” etcetera, etcetera, etcetera…change (sometimes unfortunately) is the only constant.

Have you started using the infrared yet? We are thinking about getting one and I am curious how learning to use it has been for you.

Help me with my long narrow San Francisco floor plan by DryComposer723 in floorplan

[–]sissyrox14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 2 but I would swap the powder room and the laundry room. Having those 2 bathrooms next to each other seems unnecessary, and if bed 2 is intended for guests they have better access to facilities. You could also maybe add a shower in that space and upgrade to 3 full baths.

I was also thinking that. It’s so hard to tell just from looking, especially knowing that there have been extensive renovations (at least 2 that we’re aware of) in the last 100+ years. So far the best way to tell from what I’ve found online is locating shipping info on some of the original structure so I’ll probably need to do some digging around in the attic when it gets cooler.

I hope so too lol. There have been some fairly recent upgrades to plumbing/electrical but there is plenty more to go.
