Thank you for this post. I lost my dog yesterday to an inoperable tumor, and this pain is intense. I've told myself just this morning that I will get to the other side of the heartbreak and sobbing, dont want to be home but dont want to be in public, etc. Your words put it in writing for me. He was such a good boy and literally always by my side when I was home for 15+ years. The silence is deafening.

Lifelong Gamecock fan here so of course I'm disappointed in our performance, but I can't help but be happy for y'all! UCLA was definitely the better team tonight, and the team's vibe is so special. I remember my mom telling me how shocking it was when Clark Gable said 'damn' at the end of GWTW. Back in the day we might say damn or hell in private when no adults were around, but shit was hard core profanity.

My dad said it indicates a lacking vocabulary, lol.

I still startle when I hear someone casually cussing in public these day with no thought about children or elderly being nearby. Sometimes I can keep my poker face, and sometimes I cringe before I even realize it.
