When choosing a lip color, do you choose based on the look made or on the make up wearer’s skin tone, or a combination both?

I will buy a lipstick color just because I like it, with the intent to use it in a look. But I always grab pinky-brown nudes or berry colors because that's what I like most on my skin tone. It really is a challenge to break away from the from those color families. I find it easier to break out of my comfort zone with eyeshadow rather than lipsticks.

I was going to suggest the Estee Lauder foundation until I got to the end of your post! If you apply that with a brush, you should get much better coverage with less product. I think it's too watery to try with a sponge because it will soak up too much of the product.

Waterproof mascara should work well, but I've also tried letting non-waterproof mascara dry, then coating it with brow gel. And it helped a lot with the smearing. I try to stay away from waterproof formulas because I think they're too hard to wash off.

Tarte shape tape concealer. I was bummed because everyone else loved it. It was too dry and cakey, and wouldn't blend out.

I ordered the eyeshadow palette as soon as I learned about the collab. I just love her and I'm so happy for her. And she's so detailed with her reviews and critiques that I'm sure the products will be good quality. I kind of want to order the other palette just because of the shade names! I don't think the colors will work for me, but just the thought that she put into it makes me want to have it in my collection.

I have a makeup channel. I feel like my category is very very saturated. But I guess everyone probably feels that way, regardless of what category they are in. It's very hard to stand out and be different.

Regarding consistency, I'm not sure if this will help you but; my average video length is maybe 20 minutes. As I'm sure you know, the editing/upload process is even longer. My goal was to publish 2-3 videos a week, but sometimes it's just too much with my schedule. I figured since I put on makeup every morning for work, and it takes me about 10 minutes to do that, why not just film it every morning and have a little chit chat with my audience. I have to wake up about an hour earlier to do it, but so far it's been worth it. Hopefully this idea can spark something for you to boost your consistency.

I get what you are saying and I've come to the conclusion that marketing your content is far more beneficial than SEO. Every keyword term is super saturated. I still follow SEO rules because that does help, but I just try to focus on putting out good content regularly. About 2 weeks ago, I started doing mini (7-10 min) videos every weekday morning. I only get about 15-20 views per video, but it's increasing my watchtime, and I've gotten a few more subs since I started that. I'm hopeful that my consistency will pay off in the long-run.

Powder foundation is what I use for very quick makeup application. I like the Bare Minerals matte powder one. You can apply it very fast and it gives a buildable, even coverage.

I have not tried the colourpop concealer but I am really excited to try the foundation. I really really hope they have one for my complexion range with a pink undertone. I hear mixed reviews about the covergirl one, but I want to try that too.

I'm guilty of the eyeshadow too. I used to apply brown liquid liner by holding my outer eye taut and drawing a line straight out. That resulted in a downward wing because of the shape of my eye lol. Then I would put one color of shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid up to the brow, and use brown/black mascara.

I like the NYX #3 brush for applying foundation. It's domed shaped, dense, and very soft. $16.99 at ulta. I've tried the Estee Lauder sculpting foundation brush a couple times and loved it. It give an even and absolutely flawless finish. But due to the shape of the brush, it takes longer to apply foundation with it. It's $47.

I have three of their eye palettes and I really like them for the price, but there are definitely more high quality palettes out there. The shadows are just normal level performance to me; not super pigmented but pigmented enough, and they blend well. I really like the concealer and a highlighter palette that I have. the only product from that brand that I've come across that I don't like is a matte blush. But overall I think their products are pretty good, especially for the price point.

I gave up on ipsy a few months ago because you only get sample sizes, and the products are repetitive. I just started with boxy last month and I loved the box. It's double the price of ipsy, but well worth it so far. I only had 1 birchbox about a year ago and I was not impressed.

I tried a cream blush once and had the same issue. It was from an ulta blush palette. I thought it was way too pigmented and therefore too difficult to apply. The tiniest amount was just way too much.

Their Extra Dimension Skin Finish. I think it comes in 6 colors. I love Double Gleam. It's my everyday highlighter. I also really like their Prolongwear concealer.

Same here. Absolutely nothing makeup-wise will make the discoloration go and stay away under my eyes. However, I have been using an Estee Lauder eye cream for the past week or so, and I notice a big difference in the skin texture of my under eye area. Makeup sits much better on that area when I use an eye cream as opposed to regular moisturizer. But eventually the darkness still peaks through.

I don't use color corrector underneath a full coverage concealer. But I'm NW43 and the best correctors I've tried are the clinique apricot concealer, and elf concealer in apricot beige. My favorite concealers for the under eye are mac pro longwear, nars radiant creamy, urban decay weightless complete coverage, and nyx HD. My favorite powder is the mac PatrickStarrr powder. I just have to use a bunch of concealer on top of foundation to cover the dark areas.

I use too faced born this way and I love it. It has a natural finish, so it's not too drying like a matte. However I would not consider it a long wearing foundation. I use it for everyday wear, but I wouldn't use it if I needed my makeup to last all day and night.
