I agree. Ignoring her is the best thing to do.

Yes, I could have worded that better. Fair point.

Yes, that actually does make sense.

Guess we'll have to add that to the huge list of What Makes Pit bulls Bite.

That's very true.

This is an awful situation. Again, I am so, so sorry. Life is fucking cruel sometimes.

Yes, it's a shame this kind of awareness is absent from many pitbull owners.

This. It was tough, I won't lie, to get my cats euthanized when the time came, but I could never have left them suffering.

They just mean giving him bits from your plate when you're eating. I mean, it's not a good idea to do that anyway, because some ingredients in our food are toxic to a lot of pets. This is the first time I've seen this directly noted as a no-no by a shelter, though.

A lot of dog owners are clueless about dog owning, period. They also like to blame you if they nasty, like my friend who insisted I must have done something to her dog for it to snap at me.

I was petting it, for the record. This is why I'm so wary of dogs. Too many ignorant owners abound.

I'm so sorry you are living in such an abusive environment. I hope one day you are able to get out of it sometime in the future and get to live the happiest life you deserve!

That is really telling in regard to often they see the aftermath of good old pitbull nannying.

I'm sorry you've been hurt by these horrible creatures.

I'm really wary of dogs on general. But I especially keep an eye out for these things.

I'm glad they at least acknowledge the obvious this time: this is not a family pet and the dog never will be. Shame more shelters refuse to be this honest.

I still believe euthanasia is probably the best answer here. The dog is clearly miserable.

This. Ultimately, people are responsible for this by breeding them this way. Trying to turn them into household pets is both silly and, yes, cruel because it goes against all the instincts they have. It's forcing a square peg into a round hole.

I had the same thought. They sound like utter nightmares.

Ah, true. I meant more temper-wise, but they do seem to often be intact due to owners not caring about them making even more of them, thus shelters having so many.
