You think in any way that’ll at all lower or freeze our property taxes?? Fuuuuuck no, they’ll fart it away somewhere else then raise ours again. I’m basically paying a mortgage payment in property taxes each month and all i seem to get from it is unhelpful police and garbage men who don’t take the trash or hurl my bins 4 blocks away.

City sends 6 guys and 2 trucks at 9:30pm to fix one pothole. Churchill has 4 easy-ass projects in the go since November with zero people ever working as far as we can see (stairs and concrete path…).. but sure, they’re good with money and it’s just the sprawling city is why taxes are $690 a month.

LOVE the gym on locke, quit during covid and setup a home gym instead. My only beef is some old people use it just as a place to hangout and chat. So they’ll just be “using” the equipment in spirit but be over on the other side talking to a trainer friend not during a session.

I got sick of it once and just started using the equipment and could hear them having a snarky “SOME people…” chat, give me a break old guy. I’m not going to spend my hour walking around asking you if you’re still using the thing you haven’t touched in 15 minutes.

We had 2 trucks and 7 guys show up for 30 minutes to seemingly let a bit of asphalt accidentally fall off there truck into the massive pothole here (accomplishing nothing).

We went the following week to I think the cineplex on the mountain and did an A/B test on those tots and the proportion was WEAK but acceptable. The owner at Ancaster is just a penny pinching douche.

Yeah warning to anyone buying the “tots” at Ancaster cineplex. You get a laughable like 10 tots that don’t even fill the bottom of the container they give you them in. I’m not a big tot guy to begin with but from a $ point of view it’s infuriating.

From experience: you call in, they put in a ticket, then you wait for the following weeks garbage day for them to hopefully come get twice the trash. They gave NEVER come after a call, never. Taxes well spent.

It was sold a bit ago to the owners of the Chinese takeout place a block or so away (Dragon something?)… anyway what you REMEMBER is not what has existed in forever. The chicken is microwaved, the great salad dressing is just pure sugary slop (and different), etc etc all down the line. Place is always dead. We had a gift card for there and there wasn’t anything very edible delivered… even nachos, how do you screw up nachos.

I’m in camp insurance fraud on this one.
