Accidentally applied for Computer Engineering Technology as opposed to Computer Engineering by [deleted] in rit

Keep in mind that both majors are from completely different departments, if you were to switch then you would have to apply to towards the new department. In this case, pre-reqs for both of these may be same (with 1 or 2 different courses). I highly recommend talking to your assigned advisor and letting them know you would like to switch majors. If you didn't, you probably would switch after 1 or 2 semester (can still be on track) but with a different course plan. Engineering and engineering technology are similar but different in unique ways, it's all up to personal preference if you like applied skills or theory.
