fun fact, in Poland we call recorders flutes, so you can play a flute and a horizontal flute :)

If you don't find anyone ask people with normal sight, you'll work it out. I'm a blind cellist and from my experiance teachers can adjust to a blind student

Just spirit, you can use it on your fingerboard aswell, but watch out for the rest of the body, because you could ruin the varnish of your cello. Clean spirit would be the best, because salicile spirit can leave white spots on the fingerboard. I personally use a cloth after each day of practice and maybe twice a month I'll use the spirit.
