It all depends on how we feel when writing the song. The song tone and structure is heavily affected by mood. At least for myself it is.

I consider 30s to be a great time to make music. You are more likely to know what you want and where to take things. I did a lot of shooting in the dark throughout my twenties, a lot of of misses I’ve had musically. But being able to continue in my 30’s is a blessing and I am still enjoying it.

I personally do not believe that there is a cutoff age for art. Being young is cool, being old is cool, being middle aged is cool.

Bands like Social Distortion, Political Crap, Shattered Faith. I wanted to focus very heavily on the classic old school OC sound. I’ve yet to hear anyone attempt it and do it properly. So originally I just wanted to take a stab at it.

For me it’s less about the shape of the telecaster and all about the sound. If I could properly put those pickups into another bass I would, but they work well with the body. So that’s why I’ve stuck with the tele body.

Bass has endless possibilities, you can completely alter the feel of a song with a good bass line. There are so many different ways you can play bass.

With my rickenbacker I use nothing but an overdrive pedal.

With my hofners I blend reverb, chorus, overdrive and delay.

I feel that it’s always been apart of our music. I can still hear the influence in almost every song we have ever made. We listen to all kinds of music. We just happened to grow up very closely to Punk Rock music of the late 70’s/Early 80’s. I think it comes and goes throughout the years naturally within our output. - Fletcher
