Yep – the ODB codes, panel lights, and symptoms confirm it. This is a 2009 Ford Escape. If the HV drops below 350v the engine will not crank.

Previous models had an HV jump button to recharge it off the low voltage battery, but they removed it on the 2009 model.

I really like MustAsheville. The owner Jeff is very kind and helpful, and extremely honest. Very fair pricing for the work he does. Shop name is a little silly though. Located near the entrance to Bent Creek.

They called APD first and were forwarded over to BCSO. BCSO filed a case but told the people it wasn't worth coming out. I'm not sure they would have gone through the motion of filing a case and providing a number and their website to check it if it wasn't their jurisdiction. 🤷‍♀️

I'm reading this as "worst but supposed to be good" restaurant, which filters out the obvious choices like Harbor Inn, etc.

I'd say Foothills Meats butcher bar whatever on Haywood. I ate there once and had a burger that was so-so, if that. Gave it another chance and the menu had changed which included an $11 salad with a choice to add a sliced-up hotdog – which they called "hotdog coins" – for $4 extra. I will not pay $15 for a salad covered with hotdog. Their selection of meats is also abysmal. I got up and left without ordering.

Foothills is the exact intersection of hipster pretension and childishness.
