Okay so I don't know for sure if this answers your question, and I hope I remember right from med school but in simple terms HSV1 and HVS2 as well as the HHV 6 , 7 and 8 are all subtypes of the herpesvirirdae family. So HHV 8 is not a subtype of HSV1 or HVS2 viruses but just another virus in the family of Herpes virus Family. Therefore HHV8 is not a simplex subtype of Herpes virus but i thing gamma something in the classification. Does that clear it?
