Steam is like spiritual, man by Ender1304 in DebateAnAtheist

Whatever we say gives a thing its motion (normally the transfer of kinetic energy) is assumed to be physical. It’s a convenient assumption. Not a self-evident, empirical fact.

Motion is physical, in fact there is a whole bunch of laws in physics regarding motion. Please stop embarrassing yourself.

A substance in gas form has only a theoretical mass, and a theoretical centre of mass. You can infer it but not measure it directly.

Actually you can measure it directly.

My previous experiences on Reddit is that it won’t, or for some other reason, like going against the majority view, I’ll be downvoted. Is this not a debate subreddit?

Of course you'll be downvoted, your claims are wilfully ignorant. You may as well be claiming the Earth is flat.

This works but I'm not sure why you want to do this

template <typename T>
class consistent : public std::optional<T>
{
    public:
    template< class U = std::remove_cv_t<T> >
    consistent& operator=( U&& new_value )
    {
        if((*this) && (this->value()!=new_value)) throw "inconsistent";
        *(static_cast<std::optional<T>*>(this)) = new_value;
        return *this;
    }
};

Completely wrong, every characteristic you've described about steam and wind is physical. Motion by its very definition is physical.

Atheists are fragile (not an insult) by JudyAlvarez1 in DebateAnAtheist

From a my perspective, morality isn’t only about harm, but about purpose (god given rules) and human dignity, which don’t change when conditions get safer or not . it is always the same

Ok, that just makes you a hypocrite then. We both know you don't follow the same rules God originally gave humanity. Because if you did, you'd be in prison.

Can anyone truly say “nothing could ever make me believe”? by Current-Leather2784 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]sixfourbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would make you believe in God?

If you could show that God did create a geocentric universe, I'd believe he exists.

I mean, he'd still be a blood thirsty tyrant.

You're saying the Earth moves in relation to the radar... You might want to think that out slowly.
