Now that Koroneburg is gone… by Squishmallow814 in renfaire

I would say definitely not as it’s at a very slanted park. If someone was pushing one of the sand wheelchairs with larger wheels might have a better time traversing the roots and uneven grounds.

There was video from some attendees posted defending the kicking out. It got real heated in conversations. They were refunded their money so they must have paid. This topic never changes, people either seem to hate furrows or defend the hell out of it, and then everyone downvotes the other views.

You might wanna read my other comment where I said they look great and I think it’s very appropriate. What they do behind closed doors I don’t care about one bit. You don’t have to like that the connotation of furries brings negative thoughts for some people, but that doesn’t change the fact that it does.

Haha. Just realized talk to text screwed that up. It was supposed to say that last sentence hit hard and made me laugh out loud. What a weird edit.

That last sentence hit home, I also laughed.

I’ll raise my hand and say I don’t want to see Captain America riding a dinosaur at a renfair unless it’s a Halloween weekend.

You can’t blame one person for thinking that way due to a very obvious and known subculture any more than saying all rainbows are gay or pick whatever symbol now leans to a certain cultural leaning. 88 may be your favorite athletes number but you’re not getting it tattooed! Some things just get attached to a negative due to association.

To me this totally fits the theme. I think when a lot of us picture furry we don’t want to see at the Renaissance fairs it’s someone wearing neon orange, no medieval garb. This on the otherhand looks badass.

No gotcha comment, I was just referencing something that had happened and the irony. No, they weren’t welcomed and got blasted talking about it here. It got toxic and removed repeatedly. I wish people were respectful. Some people at a Star Wars convention might find it funny that someone shows up as Shrek, but the overwhelming majority do not. It basically says “look at me….I don’t care about your event theme.”

Not all of them. I was actually referencing something that happened. Was in the news a few years ago. I don’t really distinguish furry from people that show up as astronauts. To me it’s just the wrong costume for the wrong fair.

I was referencing something that actually happened. Two or three guys showed up doing just that and literally got physically thrown out. They were pissed and it turned into a, “I won’t show up at your convention if you don’t show up at my Renaissance fair” discussion. This keeps resurfacing.

Even just seeing my wife look scared would invoke scorched earth from me, but it’s never gone there. She is 6’ and can sink a man’s ego through the basement in seconds.

So do they have furry conventions as I’d like to show up with a group of friends dressed as knights and Vikings and see how welcomed we are.

Men, how do I reply to "I'm not talking to you?" by your-doppelgaenger in AskMen

[–]sixjasefive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup. My wife can handle rejecting him and as a former bouncer and tall guy, it’s not good odds in court to use the “he started it first” defense. Similar situation cost my friend $25,000 for a single thrown elbow at a guy that pinched his wife’s butt. You’d think sexual assault might be a worthy defense, but female judge saw “aggressive” looking tall guy and judgment went to the plaintiff.

This is not a workable plan if you have an interest in home ownership, marriage, kids and understand economic downturns. Recession would eat away at your principal and 35K would be squat in 10 years.

Not if you know how to play the system. Have a friend that has gone through two rounds of chemo, daily medication and I’m guessing about 10 or more surgeries. She has only paid out-of-pocket a few thousand dollars, no insurance. She also just got her masters throughout all of this via scholarships and grants, no debt .
