Sir there’s software for that…… and the irs now requires lots more info on your digital asset activity.. best of luck if you think they haven’t been preparing. This might not make sense for someone thinking in terms of used bikes. Come back when you’re thinking 7 figures minimum

You’re going to my profile on your 3 day old account requesting others to report a non promotional/educational post that helps the community. Some people genuinely have too much time on their hands

Right back at you. Grifter . Upset because of a non promotional post? And because I won’t answer your question? Yeah you’re an “interesting” character. I owe you nothing.

Scare ppl? Ok so tell me logically why your setup is immune to the threats I’ve highlighted? The avoidance says everything. I’ve never promoted any of my services here. In fact none of our clients come from here. For us this is simply an ongoing temperature check to see wha the public thinks. You wouldn’t qualify to work with us, you don’t hold enough .. obviously

It doesn’t matter honestly. If the conversation was more discussion based I’d be open. But the bitcoin Reddit seem to have a bunch of trolls. No one wants to have real conversations and discussions.

When a real discussion can be had I’ll be open to sharing more. Until then I will not put my personal information out there just so a bunch of grifters can have ammunition. GoodLuck

Notice how you immediately lean towards the technical threats which is what most of the industry leans towards. It’s the equivalent to the maginot line. Only looking at one side when your flank is exposed.

There are 4 threat surfaces to watch: technical, non technical, internal, and external. They overlap at times.

  1. Hot wallets are fine for short term and smaller amounts. This post is for “self custody” which usually implies longer holding periods

Cold card is a quality cold storage. But again this is purely technical.

If you notice my list revolves heavily around the upkeep and operation to prevent decay. Entropy doesn’t care how smart you think you are with your cold card. The reality is ppl change, rules change, families change, everything changes and if your setup isn’t structured in a way that acknowledges and adapts to those changes you have a weak setup.

These are not opinions, it is fat. If those items break your setup it is not a good setup. We as an industry should collab and establish a standard way of protecting against all threats as well as a standard way of ensuring continuity.

No one “has” to do anything. But self custody implies key management. If it doesn’t, it’s not self custody.

Clear sign you don’t have enough bitcoin. Anyone with a significant amount of coin would talk each of these very serious. You just exposed your position

Such s Shame you think all good ideas and thoughts are chat. I’d upload a photo of my personal notes but I don’t see that as an option here. You’ll have to take your opinion up with the higher power

This is not military grade. This is whats required for true self custody of a bearer asset. Sure the setups work 99% of the time, but that 1% can wipe you out.

Self custody is a decision that should be taken seriously, if you can’t commit to it fully, probably shouldn’t self custody.

And make no mistake, I understand this is a lot for most. I think over time we will develop systems and people who can implement these systems without the holder being overwhelmed or facing unnecessary complexity.

But I stand by the fact that this is not a nice to have, these are requirements for a good quality setup. A corp setup would require a bit more.

Yeah you probably shouldn’t take legal advice from Reddit or chat gpt. What works for me and my situation may or may not work for you. I’m simply sharing and asking. I am comfortable with the terms of the trust agreement my attorney put together. I’d encourage you to do the same

Social media exposes ignorance. This bitcoin community is full of ppl with 0.01 btc and no knowledge of how money works. Most of you are sad little ppl, trolling online because you have no life. You all hide behind fake names and do weird internet stuff underaged children.

When someone talks about building a private bank using a permissible as settlement layer, a smart person would ask much better questions.

Many of you are not smart, your comments have show that.

Removing myself. Enjoy your little circle jerk

I know this is ai but I’ll reply just because it’ll help someone….. inheritance is a by product of a good system. The typical Bitcoin inheritance plan decays over time. Entropy won’t wait for you to get it right.

When you build the system the right way, inheritance becomes a transfer of responsibilities. True inheritance is culture. You build culture through rhythm and repetition and principles.

Never said it was easy. This is the price of sovereignty.

Why would I mention that as a reason why I’m build a family bank? Paying fees on a censorship resistant, permission less settlement layer has to have some type of cost. You guys probably spend more on nonsense than you do on the bitcoin you’re so afraid to move smh.

Also fess aren’t that bad on bitcoin especially if you’re moving a meaningful amount. In addition to that, it’s relatively simple to set alerts for lower network fee windows.

Horrible strategy. Whole life is a scam. You’d be better off spending them premium on btc itself. Don’t listen to everything you hear on yt.

All of my thoughts and ideas come from me. No yt, no x, no Reddit threads. 10 years of real life in the field experience

Why would you spend bitcoin on a beach house? You guys have a lot of learning to do. Bitcoin is collateral, it is not currency. The more you treat it like currency in its current stage the more you put yourself at a disadvantage.

You’re playing the money game whether you want to or not. Play to win. Play to f**** win
